Timeouts with 18 Month Old
We recently started doing time-outs with my 18 month old son. The actions that result in a time out so far are hitting, and throwing objects/toys that shouldn't be thrown. My son isn't very aggressive, I think he does these things to get a reaction from us, to practice his throwing skills, and sometimes out of frustration. We give him a warning first, and try to distract him, then if he does it again we've been doing a 1 minute time-out. I think he is starting to understand what time out is, (even says "time-out") But, I have a hard time...
