Your Favorite Brand of Jeans?

I am having the hardest time finding flattering jeans now that I'm a mom. I have very skinny legs and a very small rear-end, but a few extra baby pounds around my belly. As a result, jeans that fit my waist end up sliding down since my bottom is too small to hold them up. And tighter jeans that stay on create a huge muffin top. I tried on the "Not Your Daughters" jeans, but they were super high-waisted and just looked odd. Any tips? What are your favorite jeans now that you're a mom?

This is a question that I could have asked myself. I wound up at the Gap and they actaully have a ton of new styles. Plus, my jeans wind up with white knees from kneeling and playing within weeks so I don't want to spend a ton on them. What I liked most about the gap jeans is that they aren't super low because I surely don't want to be the mom with my butt crack showing at the play date. :-)

Happy New Year.

I don't know what your budget is but I love Joe's Jeans. They can be expensive but I love them so much I even bought a pair of maternity ones. They just fit right every where. If you are in the city aren't there a few jeans stores esp. in Lincoln Park? I bet they would fit you with a great pair! I thought one was called the Denim Bar or something....

I prefer Lee and Riders (also by Lee). They fit really well and are affordable. Also the Trib did an article about a month ago about jeans that fit and these 2 brands ranked top.

I like Old Navy The Sweetheart cut. They are mid-rise and bootcut. Old Navy has lots of different rises and cuts. If you do go with them I would get them in a smaller size than you normally wear they do stretch.

I found the midrise boot cut by Lee and Relativity (at Carson Pirie Scott) to be my favorite.

I generally go for the below waist, but not super low-cut jeans. DKNY Soho jeans work well for me. There's one cut of Levis that works for me too but I can't remember the number. Basically, you want the jeans to fit just about 2 inches below your belly button so that there's a little room for a less-than-flat tummy.
