My husband loves it when I give him a shoulder, scalp and neck massage. Sometimes, while we're watching TV I'll just say "come here and sit in front of me and I'll rub your shoulders." It's a small thing but it makes him feel good! Occasionally, I'll make a nice lunch for him to take to work and slip a note or card inside from me and the baby just reminding him that we love him.

Also, don't forget to simply tell him how much he means to you and how much you appreciate him...hearing that is sure to be special also and its free!
Sounds like you've got a great man...I've got one of those too - life sure is good, ay? :)

I know how you feel. My husband and your husband sound a lot alike! My hubby works 2 jobs, so I try to make his days off easy for him. I fix his fave meals on the nights I know he'll be home for dinner. And he loves it when I greet him at the door when he comes home. Other than those everyday things I do, I'm currently planning a trip to a basketball or hockey game (my hubby is a BIG sports fan) for the family. I know he'll like it and he'll get to share his passion with the family. Also over Spring Break I'm trying to plan a few days of family camping. He enjoys time away from "technology" (cell phones constantly ringing, etc.). I say you should do something that you know HE would really enjoy. Whether it's planning a surprise day at the golf course with his best buds, or just a few uninterrupted hours of extra rest, I'm sure he'll appreciate it!! Good luck!!

never underestimate the power of special dinner at home. sure eating out is great and has it's place. but cooking his fave steak/buger/lasagna/whatever and dressing up the table some...maybe even his fave beer or wine...wearing a nice dress...add a simple but yummy dessert...and that's all you need. why? because you paid attention to what makes him happiest. it sounds cheesy but i swear it works.

A., may I suggest to make him a small album. I did one and it was so awesome....his reaction. Use his photos and some family photos. "A" is for the admiration for the man that you are. "U" is for your uncomplaining ways. "P" is for you unbelievable patience that you have with our (son/daughter). If you want the whole list, just message me privately. This is one of the BEST gifts EVER. Just watch his face as he reads of your love for him. Use his NAME a lot, too. Write it....in your own handwriting. It will be so great...his reaction! Good luck!
