This might be beyond the expertise of moms---maybe, maybe not. I am not technically minded so I need help.

I want to give my husband wireless headphones for Fathers Day. I am going back to school in the fall and I can not study with the TV or the computer games blaring in the background. He doesn't think they are loud, I do...y'all know the story.

So my solution is headphones for Fathers Day! Anyone have a hubby, brother, father, son....who love theirs and can give me a starting place. I have searched Amazon and Radio Shack web sites but I don't know what is what. Even "TV Ears" came up when I did a search. That's the "As Seen on TV" product for $69 and I have my doubts. Suggestions?

Thanks so much!!!

What can I do next?

Hi! I am the headphone user so my hubby can sleep. I have wireless Sennheiser's. They're not earbuds but comfy headphones. They have great range, I can go all over the house, I've even been outside with them. The sound is crisp and clear and I can and do wear them for hours. My model has been discontinued but Sennheiser has excellent stuff, you and he will be very happy with them!

Well years ago we got my Mom some wireless rechargeable headphones for the tv.
It was from Radio Shack.
And it works.
And it still works.
And it is fine.
Forget what 'brand' it is, but it was from Radio Shack.

There are so many brands.
Just read the product reviews.

My hubs has some very nice skull candy ones and ones that have a mic on them (for online roll playing games) they are not wireless, though. He can mute them so he can talk to me without everyone on the server hearing, etc. Don't know what brand, but they ran about $80.

It was several years ago, but I recall ordering a reasonably priced set through ABC Distributing. You might also check with Fingerhut.

I have a fancy pair from Brookstone ($119) and a cheap pair from Walgreens ($19.99). Both work great but depending on your TV its not exactly "plug and play". The only trick with both of them is that we had to make sure the audio settings on our TV were set to external audio meaning, once we plug the wireless doohickey to the TV, the audio would still work, just not through the built in TV speakers.

The one from Brookstone has no static and is perfect, but the one from Walgreens gets static if you move too far to the right or left of the wireless doohicky but otherwise works fabulous. Have fun and enjoy your peace and quiet!

I had a pair I loved until one of my grand kids destroyed them.

Get the kind with the volume adjustment in the head phones and get the kind of head phones your husband likes. I like the ones that fit over my ears, not the ones that set on my ears. I don't like ear buds. Ear buds make my ears sore and feel very uncomfortable.

Good luck to you and yours.
