How about offering in-home tutoring?
I am currently a SAHM and have been watching other peoples kids here and there to earn extra money! I don't have any kids anymore to watch and am hurting for money! My family only has one car and we don't think it is worth the cost of daycare for me to go out and get a job. Would any of you have any job suggestions that I could do from home? Any job links? I would prefer not to sell anything! I am already an unsuccessful Pampered Chef consultant. I am a college graduate with a teaching degree but decided to stay at home after we moved to a new city. Thank you!!

Hello, I work from home and have been doing so for 2 yrs. I have 3 children, 13yr. 10 and 2 yrs. I work around their schedules. My business is mostly internet based, isn't that where more and more businesses are these days...we do offer products and services for ourselves and the end consumer. I'm not a salesperson, I simply provide what people want. What do you want and what are your interests? A lot of people unfortunately are not successful in Pampered Chef, I know a few, but it's not your fault, it's just how their business model is set up, just like the Mary Kay's and Arbonne's of the world. If you want more info. on what I have successfully been doing for 2 yrs., respond back. Visit my webportal at www.marketamerica.com/2bewell
D.,
Just recently there have been two other posts just like this. I would go read those old posts, because there are a lot of good ideas in them. One was February 17th, by Alisha H, and titled "from Home Opportunity in Information Technology."
The other was January 18th, by Sandi T, entitled "The Mom Team," and was asking about working for an at-home company called The Mom Team. There is info about that company but also about other at-home opportunities.
Here is the idea I posted in both of those:
I have a cousin who works from home, doing customer service for companies that advertise on the internet. People at the company web page need live assistance, and they call or email her. I recently asked her about it for another friend looking for an at-home opportunity. Here's what she says about her situation:
"Have your friend check out these companies:

She works for LiveOps, and has friends working for Alpine. Here's her feedback about both companies: "Thing is, you have to work your way up. Money isn't instantaneous. I work 5.5-6 hrs daily, seven days a wk, and I'm, after 4 yrs., in one of the top groups. We pay our own taxes, etc. I make on avg $3k/ Mo, which is pretax dollars. I have a couple of friends working Alpine. They just work for a single client, like GE, or AAA or an airline. This is much easier for most people, cause you don't have to sell and be very familiar with a host of different products."
I don't know if this interests you at all, since you have a degree and probably want to use it, but good luck to you.
I have an opportunity I would love to share with you. I searched for 2 years for an "at home" business that was not a scam. I LOVE MY JOB! It's a great company that you can believe in! Please contact me so I can give you all the wonderful details! ____@____.com.
D. - I'm a work from home mommy! Although I'd rather not work at all, it's great! I heard on Dave Ramsey a few weeks ago that colleges are seeking people to teach online college courses. With a teaching degree you shouldn't have a problem. The person whol called in was a SAHM and she said they paid great! I'd try any university as everything is going to be done line. Good luck! Don't put your kids in daycare... enjoy these precious years!
Have you tried posting an ad in a church bullentin about daycare in your home? An ad in your neighborhood bullentin? Have you tried working at a Parents Day Out? You can earn money there and take your kids there. Just a few suggestions. Hope that helps. Good luck to you.
