I'm looking for a place to donate a few baby clothes and jar food. I thought there was a 'Crisis Pregnancy Center' type place in Bolingbrook, but I can't find any info on it. I would like to donate to an organization like this, and not on www.freecycle.com. Thanks for your suggestions!

I donated all my baby stuff to Morning star Mission in Joliet. It is a homeless sheltar that also has a food pantry. They feed about 60 families a day and it is the only meals that they get. They also run The Treasure Chest resale shop where families can recieve vouchers to go "shopping". The store is also open to anyone and the money helps to run the shelter. Morning star mission is located on Washington street in Joliet just around the corner from Joliet Township High School.

There is a place called Carenet Pregnancy Crisis Center in Clarendon Hills (it's probably only about 15-20 minutes from you) on Holmes Road, near Rt. 83. It's part of my sister in laws church, Christian Church of Clarendon Hills...give them a call about donating. Sorry, but I don't have the number.

My suggestion is to look up Shepard House in New Lenox, Illinois. I bet they really could use the baby clothes!
