Too hot to cook
Bought a rotisserie chicken that I plan to have with Nan and a veggie.
Maybe just a salad and cold chicken.
Did I mention that it was too hot to cook. LOL
Whats for dinner. I had a boring ham sandwich for lunch. But I put on a yummy roast so I know it will be good for dinner. Just wondered what your having and maybe I can have that tomorrow.
Wow some of you cook way better than me. Might steal some ideas for this week and next. Yum yum

Yesterday I did a homemade chicken pot pie (delicious). Tonight, shrimp and broccoli with pasta and homemade Alfredo.
A roast does sound delicious... Great. Now I want a roast! Thanks Em! =)
I baked 2 whole chickens on Monday night and had one with rice and a salad and tonight I am using the leftover 1 and picking it apart and having fajitas!
~My favorite thing about having fajitas is while I am slicing up the red, orange and yellow bell peppers (no green ones for me, yuk!) I pull some aside and sprinkle them with some Rice Vinegar and munch away...nothing better than cold colored peppers this way...YUM!
My husband is making us real Stroganoff from scratch with steak as the meat.
Tilipia fillets cooked in a little oil with terragon and thyme, and a little lemon just to throw things a notch. I hate lemon flavored chicken, fish or tea-even lemonade- so my kids will not expect it. With brussel sprouts steamed with bacon tossed in(cooked first of course) and whatever else I have at home for a side. Maybe I will pust a pasta together.
My husband made tacos while I was in the pool. :)
I have no idea what's for dinner. LOL ~ that WILL be the first question my kids ask me when I get home though..... : )
Maybe someone on here can give me some ideas!!
I made artichokes last night.
I am having country style ribs smothered in BBQ sauce.
no idea what im doing tonight,
last night I cooked hot italian sausage links in a skillet. Once they were done, I removed them and threw whole cherry tomotoes and garlic into the pan drippings, with a cup of spaghetti sauce. Tossed in corkscrew pasta and the sliced sausages. Its a medley sausae, pasta and home grown tomoatoes.
Pork chops on the grill, white rice, and broccoli, carrot, cauliflower mix. Yum. Last night we had burgers, pasta salad, and green beans.
When we grill we put several different things on. Doesn't waste the charcoal, makes dinner prep super easy for the next few days, and best of all we get to have our fave- off the grill!
Stroganoff from scratch sounds really good. I'm going to have the hubby make that this weekend!
Homemade Italian sausage from the butcher.
Spagetti with my home made marinara and I am splitting the spagetti because I saw a good looking recipe in the People magazine this am for spagetti with garlic sauce. So I am making the garlic sauce too.
Enjoy yours!
Tonight: Hamburger helper (cheesy hashbrown)
Tomorrow: trying a bean soup from things in the house: white beans, tomato sauce, carrots, whatever else I can find that might go good with it (here's hoping!!)
Also recently did baked Mac&Cheese: 1 can campbells cheddar cheese soup, 1/2 can milk 1/2 pkg spiral noodles, and breadcrumbs. The recipe was actually on the soup can. :)
We had steak, baked potatoes, steamed broccoli and cauliflower, and I sauteed a bunch of onions, red and yellow peppers as well just to eat with the steak.
I made pasta with red meat sauce with sausage instead of ground meat.
Hi! Last night I made Crab & Cream Cheese Flautas, different for Mexican food, but good!
1 package (8 oz.) crab meat, drained
1 can (4 oz.) diced green chiles, drained
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
6 - 10 medium flour tortillas
2 cups vegetable oil
Heat oil in saucepan or deep fryer at 375 degrees; combine crab meat, chiles & cream cheese in bowl; spread mix on tortilla then rolly tightly & use a tootpick to keep tortilla together; cook in vegetable oil for 2-4 minutes until golden brown; use sour cream or salsa (separate or mixed) as a dip
Also, check out Kraft's Food & Family website, they have tons of easy recipes.
Country ribs with sauerkraut and mashed potatos.
We are having ham sandwiches tonight. I have been cooking non stop for the last two weeks. I need a break. :) Enjoy whatever you decide to make!
zucchini- corn souffle with an avocado, spinache, snap pea, salad......this new dressing i bought in Austin called"mothers" cashew -tamari
the whole meal will be 410 calories and yummy!!
Orange Chicken & Shrimp Fried Rice
I have no idea. Probably a chicken and vegetable stir fry with bread.
I'm getting a mani-pedi tonight at 6, and since I'm not here to cook and my husband doesn't cook, we'll probably have cereal. My daughter will probably also get a side of veggies. I know it sounds gross, but she loves veggies and will eat them with anything and everything.
i am making spaguetti with ground turkey and a salad and for tomorrow some grilled chicken with corn on the cob :)
We're having spahetti with meat sauce, garlic bread and a garden salad.
Reading all the responses is making me hungry!
Garden Burgers (Veggie Burgers). We're not vegetarians, but we really like them. We dress them up just like hamburgers and they're delicious. also have some mashed cauliflower with spinach and a little cheese from last night. Might throw a cucumber/tomato salad together too.
We are having refried bean and cheese quesadillas, broccoli cheese rice, and spinach casserole. The kids won't eat the spinach, so they're having carrots and dip instead.
