What Will Clean Spots off Glass Shower Doors?

Baking Soda or vinegar are good cleaners. LOC(Liquid Organic Cleaner) by Amway works really well. Hope this helps.

Looks like you have an overload of information on this request and in case you have not already received this advise: I use Melaleuca's cleaners and I love the cleaner that I use on the shower doors. I have hated these doors since moving in and seems like constant struggle to take care of water spots and the soap buildup. I was recommended Melaleuca just spray and wipe - no scrubbing!!! I liked it so much that I am a marketing rep - let me know if you would like some info.

I have had glass shower doors for years and what works for my household will involve a habit change for all who use the shower. First of all, what ever you decide to use to clean your shower that meets your satisfaction and leaves the glass walls clear, use it. Here is the habit change...after you shower, squeegie the glass walls and door. Go to Target or Container Store and get one of those squeegie things and keep it in your shower. You have to use it after the shower and your walls will remain clear. We have not had to use the other cleaners to remove any build up in over 9 years.

a mixture of water and white vinegar, or apple cider vinegar may work.

Try a Magic Eraser. I think my friend just used that on her shower door and it worked. Good Luck!

Vinegar and water with a little bit of orange oil in it is what we use. Also, my mom says to dry the shower after you use it.

Using calcium lye cleaner should work to clean it initially. To keep it clean you should get a shower squeegee that you use after every shower so that their are no spots left when dried.

I really like Method. You can get it at Target and sometimes Tom Thumb. It works really well. If they are just super stubborn then sometimes I will use Bar Keepers powder. You just get it wet enough to make a paste then let it sit on the shower while you clean th rest of the bathroom then scrub and rinse. I have also found that using a scrub brush and not just a sponge works better. I clean houses and am super anal about making sure it looks nice! Hope that helps!

I used to have the problem you did. My cleaning lady uses straight alcohol. She said she used to mix it with water before, but just uses it straight now. She also used alcohol to clean mirrors and windows. Hope this helps.

My cleaning lady using Scrubbing Bubbles and that seems to be the only thing that really works. She follows with a glass cleaner afterward and it looks amazing!

Try straight vinegar. It stinks, but wear gloves when you apply. Let it sit for a bit and then rinse it off. The spots are likely mineral deposits and vinegar eats that right off.

A non-natural solution would be Lime Away, but it is very acidic and can burn you if you aren't SUPEr careful

CLR will take the spots away easily... Also, when your shower head gets clogged up from calcium deposits or your fridge water dispenser tray gets yucky, you can just soak the whole thing in a mixture of water and CLR and they will looking brand spanking new again....

Hi, Jamie....this is not on the natural side, but I would try oven cleaner. We moved into an older home a few years back and had it cleaned professionally. The shower had a ton of soap scum, and she used oven cleaner to get it sparkling clean again. I know you said you have water spots, but I would think this would solve that problem, too. Just don't leave it on the grout too long, or it will eat it up. Hope this helps, and good luck!

Kaboom is the best and it doesn't have the strong smell or etch your glass like some other products. I just spray it on, rub the glass with a non-scratch sponge/pad and then let is sit for a few minutes then rinse. I have tried other things, but Kaboom has been by far the easiest and done the best job!!

I use Arm and Hammer Scrub Free with oxy. I get the lemon scent because it smells better - I spray it on - let it sit for a minute or two and just wipe - the water spots are gone with very limited scrubbing- LOVE IT!

A Bounce dryer sheet is the best thing I have found and it smells good too!

Use white vinegar mixed 50/50 with water. Spray on the doors, let it set for about 10 min, then spray again and clean with water with a drop or two of Dawn dish soap in it. My doors were calcified badly and this process cleaned them to a clear sparkle. I had to spray and wait 3 times, but it worked.

I use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on my shower doors and I think it works pretty good. I have also tried vinegar and it works pretty good too and it is natural, you just have to light a candle or turn on the vent to help with the smell.

vinager and baking soda work for me. I put the vinager in a spray bottle and spray the door then put some baking soda on a damp cloth and rub away! It really works great! But be sure to rinse it well afterwards or you will have a thin film of baking soda(it wipes off pretty easy when dry).

My votes are for Mr. Clean Magic Erasers and/or Fantasik Oxy (I use that as pretty much my ONLY household cleaner - works and it smells pretty good! :D).

Once you have it clean, get in the habit of taking a second to lightly dry your shower door before you get out. If you give the door a quick rinse (with the shower head) right before you turn the water off, then swipe a towel back & forth from top to bottom it'll take maybe 10 seconds, start to finish. You will only see spots if you miss something in drying!

OK, it's not all natural, but it will work! Try CLR. I just got water spots off my tub fixures -- they came out looking sparkling new. You can find CLR in Walmart with the rest of the cleaners.

Try CLR - Calcium, Lime & Rust. It will probably do the job.

I use Palmolive Oxy dish soap. Sounds crazy but it works. Good luck.

Try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser! It works great and you don't have to use anything but water with it!

We limit the issue with this simple rule.......

When you are done in the shower, you squeegee the glass.

I have a good squeegee in the shower, located conventiently so there is NO excuse not to use it. It makes a big difference with keeping the glass clean.

For routine care, I like the Magic Eraser and I like vinegar. I even soak the shower head in vinegar to keep buildup at bay.

About 2 times a year, I will use marine boat polish on the glass. It is a big job requiring a lot of work (we have a big shower) but after you get finished with the buffing, etc, it takes months for water spots to build up again. I guess you could say it acts somewhat like RainX that you use on car windshields.

CLR or Lime Away. K-Boom is also very good and a green scrubby pad found at the grocery. We had a janitorial business for 30 years and all of this works great.

Vinegar in a spray bottle. Your bathroom will smell like a salad for a little while but it's about the only thing that really works. Also somebody told my husband to try Rain-X after cleaning the glass with vinegar we just haven't gotten around to getting some to try it out.

We were told by a cleaning lady to get a 16oz water bottle, put 1/4 of a cup of blue dawn liquid dish soap in the bottle first then add white viniger to fill the bottle, shake and spray all over the glass. I will warn you that is STINKS but works like a charm and stays clean for a while. Good luck, I do this on a monthly basis.

try distilled white vineger but the hard part is getting it to soak on it or you can try cheap vodka

Try vinager-full strength. It's natural and gets mineral deposits off things-which may be what is causing the spots. May need to sit and soak in. Can't hurt to try it.

Wet a dryer sheet and rub on the glass. Sounds strange but worked on mine.

i just bought kaboom with oxi clean a few days ago and tried it. with a little elbow grease you can now see through my shower door! :)
it's not natural but there are no harsh fumes

Shout stain remover. I know it sounds way weird, but I learned about it on mamasource about a year ago and it works. Strange, huh?
I usually go for more natural options but the shower door was driving me crazy!

We use Kaboom, too (spray, leave 1 minute, wipe down, rinse) and also squeegee after every shower.

I know this sounds weird but I heard wd-40 with clean off the spots and keep them off! it is also good for just about anything,cleaning walls,windows,it can even get paint of your car if another car scratches your car. and it is all safe the main ingrediant is fish oil!

Use a green scrubby (the gentler ones don't work as well) and pure vinagar...it is time consuming and hard, but you will get most of it off, when you are done, wax it with good old car wax...keeps the water from sticking to the glass doors...reapply once a month...

Tilex applied after each shower. Works like a charm. t first some rubbing and sctubbing will be involve, but after that, it's literally smooth sailing-and showering. Later

Used dryer sheets. I know it sounds silly, but it works! Just rub the glass doors with DRY, used dryer sheets. It also works on tile.

Magic Eraser works the best!

I use Lime Away after not having cleaned my shower glass for almost a year because it was frustrating. SO I finally went in and decided to try different things. Then Lime Away is what worked. Spray a section then wipe it down. Then do another section etc. REALLY it works. So does the magic eraser BUT you need a lot of elbow grease but as I see a mother of a 2 year old, you don't or won't have that energy.

Try turtle wax....it sounds crazy, but a friend of mine who cleans homes told me it works.
