Hi moms! I just found out yesterday that Spring Break is coming soon! I'm looking for any and all free or super cheap things to do to keep 2 toddlers and a 6 year old happy, occupied, and taking advantage of the great weather we will (hopefully) have.
Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

DFW Airport Observatory - Picnic & watch planes takeoff &land
Find cool parks in your area that you've never been to.
Have a scavenger hunt - either natural at a park (find 3 pinecones, an orange leaf, spot a squirrel, etc.) or create one in your own backyard with things you've hidden.
Check your local library & rec center. Coppell Library is having a special activity every afternoon (free movies, The Creature Teacher, etc.)
Go to Bass Pro or Cabela's and explore. They have lots of museum quality animal diplays and huge aqariums (check fish feeding times online).
Have the kids help you make a plate of cookies and bring them to the FIRE STATION. If there isn't an emergency, the fire fighters will give them a private tour of the fire trucks!
Grapevine mills mall - If you take the kids before they open (I think the mall opens at 8 and the stores open at 10), you get some excercise walking around, and the kids love going up and down the ramps.
We live in Flower Mound and www.familyeguide.com has featured lots of activities in our area (Lewisville, Flower Mound, Highland Village, etc.) that you can check out. Even if you don't want to drive up here, they may give you inspiration for other activities close to your home. They'll also be featuring activities during spring break (which is 3/16 - 3/20 in LISD).
Good luck, have fun, and relax! You don't have to schedule too much, just let the kids make their own fun sometimes.

Hopefully the weather will be great and you can utilize outside.

I'm hoping for great weather because we will be at Disney with I am sure horrendous crowds.

Last year, we stayed here. I have a 14 yr old. She along with about 5 other friends bought season passes to 6 Flags and I think they went 3 times that week. We found that Season pass to be a great deal because it was used a lot all summer. We are in Allen/Plano area so a parent had to take them over there and then another parent would drive over and pick them up at the end of the day. They had sleepovers with makeovers, lots of spa nails and toes were done, mall trips and the Wii was well used that week.

I think the parks would be fun. Maybe a natatorium (Allen has a great one with a climbing wall), go to Dick's Sporting goods....they have a climbing wall in the store. Are your kiddos crafty.... My daughter loved going to hobby lobby or michaels and getting craft to make.

Have fun!

Well my kids are younger and was looking for something they could do for kids under age 6. It seems there are camps all over for over 6. But I have 2 kids age 4 and age 5.

The City oof Arlington Parks has a Spring Catalog full of activities for Spring and they are offering a Art Camp for the younger kids M-F from 2-4 for kids age 3-5 about 42.00 for the week which is about $8 a day. They can learn and have some fun too.
