Ribs, salad & bread.
It's pretty easy & hubby takes care of the ribs so I feel like I get a night off. (I usually do on weekends these days.) :)
Yes, real question. ;)
Always love hearing about new ideas, or remembering old favorites I've forgotten. I think we're going to have spaghetti....zzzzz...anyone having something fun?
One...okay, I guess there's one thing we can agree on. ;) Chili is not fun...and I'm sick of it...but it works. My husband's chili is more like bean soup, and since we banned ketchup from the house related to a crazy incident, I can no longer make my mom's chili. :( Hee hee.
I always hated meatloaf, growing up...then my husband asked for it one day, so I made it and turns out I like it now. I don't know what you all use, but we use ground beef, an egg, a bit of Tamari soy sauce, lots of salsa, and GF Rice Krispies. Maybe we should share meatloaf recipes!!!! Another question to buffer the trolls? I think SO!!!

Meatloaf. 40 years ago, my friends husband was so excited. He made meatloaf for dinner and then hit us with I put dry sloppy joe mix in. Ugh we all said. Well ladies that's how I make it every time now. Just adds a little bit of something to flavor!
I thawed a beef roast. The plan was roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, mashed yams and cresent rolls. My younger son spent the day throwing up yesterday, my older son was up at 5:30 am throwng up and I am feeling a bit off too. We called in sick for church, and my older son will have to miss his choir performance this afternoon. I have a feeling we won't feel like roast beef tonight, so I'll have to save it for tomorrow. Maybe we'll have bananas, rice, applesauce and toast...
Sunday suppers at our house are usually lite - grilled cheese & soup, or scrambled eggs/bacon. I cook all week, and Sunday's are my day off. :)
I'm making chili.
Not "fun" but it was a unanimous request!
Sunday is church and our "day of rest" so I try not to cook anything major. We may drive thru and get $1 burgers after church or come home and have sandwiches or frozen burritoes. Dinner is something easy like a quick pasta. =)
I was going to make a wonderful pot roast with crescents and a salad, but we are sick also so it'll be for another day when I can stand to cook again...
BBQ ribs being slow cooked right now as we speak. Cheesy rice broccoli and a salad for sides. The only thing I have thats quick to make for dessert is flan so I guess thats dessert. :)
fried fish and a salad
We are getting a ton of snow here in colorado, so today I am making some chili in the slow cooker. I havent made it in close to a year, so I think it will be tasty :)
We had pot luck at church today. I made some sub sandwiches but I am ate a lot of different things there like a delicious corn chowder. So we had sandwiches left over and that's what we will eat tonight. And angel food cake and strawberries.
Last night we had Teriyaki chicken burgers and a key lime and coconut cream tart. It was snowing all day so I sure was happy to have something tropical to lift my mood! Tonight I am trying my hand at gumbo. Never had it before but I subscribe to ourbestbites.com and they recently posted a very delicious looking gumbo recipe. It looks like a lot of work so hopefully it is worth the effort!
Last night we smoked salmon on the Traeger. No left overs. :(
Troy is leaning towards leftover, I am leaning towards, meat! Troy gets to cook tonight so sorry I am vague but I really don't know yet.
Slow cooked sausage and peppers...plus I'm cooking & freezing some ziti for the week...my house smells GREAT right now!
Honey Glazed ham is in the oven now. It smells so good that we are having a hard time waiting for dinner! Oven roasted potatoes and another green side dish to go with it. Haven't decided on that just yet. :)
Iron skillet t bones, sweet pototoes, and salad.
Steaks are snugly marinating in a tad of olive oil, garlic and low sodium soy sauce.
Turkey meatloaf burgers grilled on the George Foreman. And corn.
Nothing fun, but a good, homemade version of tuna noodle casserole. Yum!
we are having beef stroganoff...hubby got out at 1:00 this morning to go to the store ahead of the crowds (since we are anticipating Snowmageddon chapter 2 tomorrow- got 10 inches Thursday, another 10-12 anticipated) so i told him to get the stuff for it. i rarely make it because it is SO rich an fattening, but it's his favorite.
i wish i had gotten stuff to do chili...i LOVE my chili - haven't made it but one time this winter and that was like back in november lol.
Capriotti's sandwiches. The best! I had a choice between brunch and Cappriotti's, I opted for the sandwich.
Bringing in Mexican. If my husband doesn't cook on Sundays, we have to bring stuff in. I make the meals most of the rest of the week. I hate cooking.
Not sure yet.
UPDATE: still not sure.
