Hi -
Just curious to see what other 11 week olds are up to?
Please, no breast-feeding extremists' opinions on formula feeding.

My 11 week old is now 13 pounds..
He naps a litlte in the morning, and again from about 1 - 3 pm.
In the evenings after 5 pm, it's a cycle of sleep, eat, play until his bedtime around 9 pm.
At bedtime, I give him a quick bath, lotion/massage, put him in a nightgown, all with the same lullaby playing, and swaddle.
Then he goes up in his darkened room and drinks his bottle.
I put him in his crib sleepy but awake after he finishes.
He sleeps approx from 9:30 pm - 3:30 am. He wakes up around 3-3:30 am or so, drinks his bottle, and goes back to sleep until about 7-8 am.
I sure look forward to when he drops the 3 am feedings!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks, everyone! Now he goes to bed by 9 pm and wakes up around 4 am...so 7 hrs of sleep for me, yay! He just turned 12 weeks, so if he's still doing the 4 am feedings by 4 months, I'm going to train him to drop it! But good to hear my son is a lot like other babies at this age.

My little girl is 11 weeks now. Our schedule consists of:

- Bottle at either 7 or 8 (differs every day but usually between this time)
- Hang out (or cry while mommy gets ready, lol)
- In car seat for morning activities for my older children (ie preschool, library time, or gymnastics), basically she has her morning nap in the carseat :(
- Bottle at 11
- Hang out, tummy time, and play time till about 1
- Nap till 2 and another Bottle
- Hang out, tummy time, and play time till about 4:30 ish
- Nap till 5:30 and up for bottle
- Play till about 6:45 with another nap
- Sleeps till about 7:30 and then up and playing till 8 ish
- Bath, pj time, and other bedtime activities and in bed by 8:30/9
- Sleeps till 2 am
- Sleeps again till 7 or 8

Isn't it such a wonderful time!! This is my 3rd and I just LOVE it!!

Congrats on your little guy.

Edited - Oh ya.. my little girl is only at 9 lbs 3 oz. She is my tiny peanut!

Wake around 8 am (screaming as if he was going to starve to death if not fed an hour ago), bottle (formula fed), change diaper, play, sleep, repeat every 3 hours until somewhere between 11 pm and midnight. Wake screaming from starvation level hunger 3 to 4-1/2 hours later (feed, change, sleep). Start over 8 am the next morning. We bathed q 3 days because he had very dry skin. We also took him to daycare 3 days a week, went out frequently, etc - nothing we did impacted his schedule in the least (child could sleep or eat anywhere).

Sounds like you have a pretty good schedule going. The 3 am feedings will go away - you just can't predict when.

Sounds like you have a great schedule right now but as he gets older that will probably change. Enjoy it while it lasts and hope for the best. Mine only woke up to feed once in the night and went straight back to sleep and when that feeding dropped at about 4 mos of age they slept all night. I never had to do CIO or any of that. I feel so sorry for the moms on here that dont have children that sleep through the night and realize how God blessed me with very mild mannered kids.
I think non stressed out parents have better kids as well. Stressed out parents have nervous kids. Thats just my thought on it.
