My skin is dry, but I cannot stand to put lotion on my body when it is hot/or humid out. It seems to make me feel more sweaty and hot. What do you use to keep your skin soft in the warmer weather.
I am looking for recommendations for products that are light without a scent or very light scent. I am very sensitive to perfumes and other franrances.

Thanks

I use olive oil. I realize that yes it does have a slight scent but it's nothing worse than the chemical fragrances often added to lotions and the like.

I use baby oil in the shower-after washing, just before I shut off the water. I like Johnson's Shea and ? (the brown one) because it's a very light scent that just smells clean. I use it year round in the desert and it keeps the moisture locked into my skin.

I like Swiss St. Ives cream. My hands are a lot softer since I started wearing rubber gloves to do housework.

I use Olive Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil - in the shower after I wash, then rinse it off.

I also once a week use a combo of Olive Oil, Honey (3tbsp each) and 1/2 cup sugar in the raw or organic sugar to exfoliate.

I use Cera Ve from the pump bottle. The dermatologist recommended it. It's expensive but it really is good stuff. You can find it in the pharmacy.

In December I started buying homemade soap from Etsy. Since I started using the homemade soap instead of store bought products, my skin has been very soft. Also I rarely need to use any kind of lotion (like on really cold days) and then if I do, I only need to use a little bit.

I have a homemade brown sugar scrub that I like to use on my hands... I'm sure it could be used elsewhere, though...

http://tidymom.net/2009/sugar-scrub-recipe/

The one I like is the "Sweet N' Spicy Brown Sugar Scrub" ......

Yes, it leaves a film of olive oil on your hands, but it absorbs quickly. There is no sticky feeling from the sugar, either.....

I use a coconut body wash. It's so moisturizing that I don't need anything else. It's also unscented!

I recently started using the Body Shop's hemp lotion. It's amazing. The scent is rather earthy, and I've discovered that it's the only thing that doesn't irritate or flare up my eczema. In fact, it speeds up the healing of my eczema and minor burns from cooking or the curling iron. It's very soothing and calms the skin, and my skin feels very soft with it. It's light and non-greasy.
