Bathroom-I lock the bedroom door and the bathroom door and read! Or I take a walk to starbucks, it's 2 miles away so I can walk off whatever I drank-if the weather is bad I ride my bike!

Some days I stop running and just say the hell with it. Other days I'll go to sleep since no one really bothers me when I'm sleeping. Yesterday I managed to slip away into a little hidey hole in my basement to fold laundry and have a minute to myself. You would have thought I "left to get a pack of cigarettes" with no intentions on coming back. I just heard hysterical foot steps, doors opening and closing with my husband trying to redirect my kids to do something else besides look for me.
I love my kids to death, but mommy needs a break!
Where do you go or what do you do when you need a break?

bribe my daughter with candy and grab a quick shower=)
I go for a walk. About an hour does my mind good.
Bring facial, mask and spa supplies to the bathroom and told my husband and son: if you want to pee, do it now. I will meditate in the bathroom for an hour. Don't disturb me.
That's what I do whenever I need a break. But usually didn't work well because the bathroom can't be locked, my son sometimes still enter the bathroom. Only once when he was scared and left me alone, when I use the charcoal mask,hahaha...
LOL! that sounds like my kids on a daily basis. Doing the laundry in the basement is my hide-out too. If I take too long (more than 10mins), I have my 3yr old helping me because she can't handle being without me for too long..lol! It's kinda like they need me to breathe or something.
I tell my kids to go play outside. Or in their room. Or go to the pool.
Kids need to know that they don't need mommy all the time. It's up to us to teach them by forcing them to play independently.
I tell them I need a break and leave me alone. :)
(my kids are older though I think... 10 & 13).
Also, I run. Literally. I make it take 90 minutes! :)))
the iPad is a wonderful short time babysitter. i'll set the kids on it with a math app or give them 15 minutes to watch something.
Hah hah hah hah hah.
When my kids are like that, they remind me of zombies. One of my best friends (her kids are similar ages to mine) and I get such a kick out of it, "One at a time, no zombie swarms please!"
What do I do on days like that. What I'm doing now! The kids are making a mess in their room and I'm laying in bed sipping coffee and catching up with ya'll. Mamas DO need a break sometimes!
I literally start running. I hand the kids off to dad, grab the dog and hit our 10k route, running until I can't anymore and walking the rest. It is magical. The kids will sometimes even hand me my shoes and tell me "take a run mommy." so I know I'm being impatient or whatever.
I fork over th 3DS ... go netflix!!
I also schedule my "me" time to be in the morning from 9-10 MWF and 9-12TTH (camp) and I go to the gym and work out for an hour and TTH I get to watch a show or two after my hour work out - it is quite nice :) With that, I have fewer times of needing to "get away."
