"Katie has a tendency to rush through her work. I'd like to see her slow down. She also likes to take over other people's projects when they are struggling." Yep. Some things never change.
I have a 'theory' ...
My kids are 'older' now, and their respective personalities are FULLY in place.
Their respective Kindergarten report cards...looking back at them now...years later...were very good indications of 'what was to come'...
I just came across MY very old (handwritten) kindergarten report card...and in the comment section it said 'michele is a very bright and engaging student...but she has some trouble with talking at listening time'
It kind of struck me that YES...this IS true...and has been a 'battle' for most of MY life! lol
What did YOUR report card say...and has it proven true over the long haul??
Just curious!

I don't know about mine, but from what I understand, my husband flunked Skipping. He still can't skip unless he tries really hard, which I never make him do.
Oh yes, I was intelligent buy shy from Kindergarten on. And responsible...I was chosen to be the one to go get the teacher's mail from her mail box each day...
Amazingly, there has been much research that shows that our personality traits are pretty much set by the time we are three months old. I think that was true of my daughter. She's the same personality at 9 years that she was at 3 months.
Much like my last performance eval at work...
Kind-hearted, smart and thoughtful, but doesn't put up with bullies or BS!
I remember my early report cards said Terri is "talkative" and "has a hard time keeping her hands to herself."
I guess I'm still talkative but I think I've learned to keep my hands to myself, lol!
And yes,my kids' report cards have pretty much been spot on in terms of their emerging abilities and personalities, both good and bad :)
I was in the smart but shy group too. And stubborn--I refused to march to the music with the rest of the class. I'm still that way at times but it gets in my way less now.
my report card said I didnt know left and right.. I did eventually figure taht out. I did great in kindergarden. school was easy adn I did well. up till 10th grade math.. when I hit the math wall.
very intelligent and very shy, ha the same as my daughter's progress report for this year
"Needs to practice her handwriting." So true, even to this day.
She talks too much in class...my daughter has the same problem!
I don't know what mine said, but it had "Peanuts" characters on it I think up thru 3rd Grade.
