we put diapers on my BIL's boston when she was in heat to keep things from being messy and stinky.

there's a site called allexperts.com that I use when I have questions about my critters. or you could call your vet and see what they say!

I have a cocker spaniel and I found a diaper for female dogs that you put a pad in, just like the pads we use. She hated it!! She used it for only one day. Did you know it goes on for THREE WEEKS! I didn't! Thankfully I have tile floors and her bedding is washable. I just went around cleaning up after her ALL THE TIME!!
GOOD LUCK!!

Dog diapers. She is having her period. There is a smell involved especially since it is her first. It is yucky. Wash her bedding with a strong detergent, treat spots with shout. Let her into the sunshine if she is in a protected area. Sunshine gets rid of smells. After it is over give her a good bath with another dose of sunshine. Poor thing, she is probably wondering what's happening. Good luck.
