Were You Born Between '65-'72? (Women Only :) !)

If so, I was wondering if you remember having a play purse that was round, with a loop strap on the top AND there was a littel doll on the front of it with a clear cover so you you could see it (I don't remember being able to play with it).

I'd love to get one for my girls for Easter, but I don't know if I'm remembering the doll part as figment of my imagination... or if it really existed! I have a picture of me w/ the purse, but it's turned around so you can't see the front to verify the little doll.

Also - I'm not very versed on Craigslist or E-bay... does anyone have any suggesstions re: what I would put in for a search?? Thank you so much.

What can I do next?

I have seen them but for the life of me I don't know what they were called. It was one of those things that everyone else had but me. (read that like a five year old said that)

Well, I'm, an 80's kid but I member my sister having one. Is this what you mean? http://www.etsy.com/listing/81409609/vintage-1960s-pink-k...

I would not buy anything vintage, if it's something she will pay with. I was just watching on 60 minutes or something like that about the trend of vintage toys. Apparently, most of the dolls and toys tested for super high levels of lead and other chemicals, because it was before regulations. Parents were cautioned about purchasing old toys for kids.

Born in 68 and YES I remember that! I was SO frustrated that I couldn't get to the doll, it was trapped in that damn vinyl casing, lol!!!
Try searching "vintage doll in purse." Good luck :)
ETA: here's one on ebay!

Well this one could have certainly used the "women only" designation. :)

Well, I was born in 1962 and the one I do remember was the Lockey Locket doll, it came in a clear locket! they were small with long hair. Possible they were also in a purse?

Yes! I had to look at the link Mamazita provided, but I do remember those! I had a white one with blue flowers on it and a little doll in the front. I was going to suggest trying to find one of the Holly Hobbie doll purses. Did you ever see those? I had one. It was denim and calico patchwork, and it had a little Holly Hobbie doll in a pocket in front. I can't find one like it though online. There are other Holly Hobbie decorated ones though.

I was born in 1967 and never had this, don't think I ever saw it. Sounds like a cool purse for a little girl, though!

I think it might be called "Kiddles". I had a similar doll that had a perfume bottle shaped case, but it could be taken out. I found the info by searching ebay for "60's doll purse", found one that mentioned the name, and then googled Kiddle.

I was born in 67 and remember Polly Pocket, she was small, blue/white checkered dress, black hair in braides. But I don't remember a purse. I hope you figure it out. Good luck. =)

i was actually born in 62 but I remember these dolls. they did come out. they were about 3 inches tall. the one I had was a white purse with a jeweled sort of front cover it had a little clasp that opened and closed. . I don't think they make them anymore. Do you remember flatsy dolls? I loved those. they came with a picture frame sort of background.

Well I was born during that time (1969), but no clue what toy you mean..sorry! But as far as a search of it..best to know the actual name and manufacturer (Mattel, Hasbro, etc).

Hopefully someone else has an idea! I pretty much played with Licoln Logs, Tinker toys, Tonka Trucks, etc ( I had brothers!). I had a Magic Window that was special to me (made by Wham-o)...still have it today! But we were really quite poor and Mom made alot of our other gifts and toys and such!

Good luck!
