If you want to save a little money, we use the target brand that is comparable to the flinstones and they seem exactly the same to my kids. They do not like the centrum kids vitamins.
I have kids from age 2-8. What vitamins are you moms using? what do you like/ Dislike?
Thanks! I took the flintstone vits when I was younger, guess I didnt think they were still around=) Thanks Ladies!

My son who is 5 uses the one that are gummy it is easy to get him to take them he he loves them most of the time we have to convince him he can have only one.
Juice plus is extraordinary! Dr Sears even endorses it.

I never thought I would do the gummi vitamins but I ended up getting them and now taking vitamins is no problem. We take our vitamins together at breakfast.
We use Flinstones + Iron. The gummy vitamins don't have the added iron (or the ones we found). We had to be cautious and check ingredients (food allergies)...so I read labels on everything from food to lotion!
Mom of 2 boys - 9 months and 3 years.
I give both of my boys Spider Man gummy vitamins (we get ours at Target, I don't know where else they're sold). They are 3 years and almost 2 years old and love their Spider Man gummies.
My kids get the Nordic Naturals brand Nordic Berries. We prefer them because it's all-natural. No fructose corn syrup or processed sugars in them. And our kids LOVE them. We started them at age 1.
My kids thought Flintstone vits were too sour so we started giving them Gummies.
We first got a generic brand at the grocery store but our son one in awhile will not like the "vitamin" taste so we also got him the gummies and he likes those so much better of course they are like gummy bears but he understands he gets two only of those and they go up. But I have tasted the gummies and they dont have a vitamin taste at all for our son that is was the best way to go and taking two is no problem at all.
Hi M. O,
I use Melaleuca vitamins because I trust them and they work, children and parents are healthier and just don't get sick as often. Feel free to e-mail me ____@____.com for more info. You might want to check the link below as it gives information on vitamins and lead.
This is the website link at the FDA.
http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/pbvitami.html
Don't think that just because a vitamin is not listed, it doesn't
contain lead. They didn't test all vitamins on the market, including
any marketed specifically towards men.
These were 3 of the children's vitamins that contained no lead,
according to the FDA:
Natrol Liquid Kids Companion (Liquid)
NF Formulas Liquid Pediatric (Liquid)
Twinlab Infant Care (Liquid)
To our health,

I have a regular chewable for my 2 year old that is Flintstones toddler, she does great with it. But if she hadn't been able to chew it up well, I would've contacted a Shaklee rep and gotten their Vita-Lea powdered infant and toddler vitamins - you can mix it in their drink or sprinkle it on food. They have kids chewables too, this is what I took as a kid, and we were never sick! Of Course, the bigger kids can take flintstones, or whatever brand of similar vitamins, too.
Here is the Shaklee info - I don't sell it, but my mom did when we were kids, and we always took those vitamins, and rarely ever got sick, maybe a cold once a year.

When my little one was a baby, i gave her the Poly-Vi-Sol liquid, I think it is made by Enfamil, you can find them in the vitamin aisle at Wal-mart.

In my blog - http://www.livegreeneveryday.com I have a research report about lead in children vitamins. It lists all the vitamins to avoid.
We give our children Vibe from a company called Eniva. They like the taste pretty well, it is kind of like a strong juice flavor. It is in a liquid concentrate form so we mix it with water. It is supposed to have everything your body needs and because it is liquid it goes right to the cells.
Let me know it you want to know more.
I use the Flintstones multi-vitamins (they are like gummy bears and easy for my 2 1/2 year old to chew and taste pretty good) or Lil'Critters Gummy Vites (also like gummy bears, so easy to chew and taste ok).
My daughter seems to like the Flintstones ones better, I think they taste a little better the Lil'Critters Gummy Vites (I take 2 when I have run out of my own multi-vitamin). They also have a multi-vitamin that has added vitamins to support the immune system which is nice for the cold/flu season.
We just started the Lil'Critters Gummy Vites and it has about the same mix of vitamins but no added support for the immune system (they have a portion of the vitamins needed but not that extra boost to really protect you in those trying seasons).
I have tried the harder vitamins but my daughter does not like texture or taste and would fight us when it was time to take her vitamin. For us the gummy vitamins have worked better, I just say vitamin time and she will come in the kitchen, pop the gummy in her mouth, chew and she is on her way.
My kids are on Mighty Mins by Nutri Spec. Excellent vitamins! There is also a great study on them regarding behavioral issues such as ADD/ADHD.
I carry them in my on-line store and they are the best sellers in my entire store. If you want more information, please feel free to email me at ____@____.com

Great question!! A few times a year my family would get ill over a 6 week period where it went from one person to another. We could never get on top of the medical bills these illnesses produced either.
After one of these long illnesses, we were introduced to Reliv. It has changed our families health. Within six months were able to pay off our medical bills since we were no longer living in the Dr. office. Also, now our Dr. only sees us when they need a well child check!
Another great result is my children no longer get canker sores, their nose bleeds are almost non-existent and with no warnings at all, I know I am doing what's healthiest and best for my family.

I use "Isotonix might-a-mins" They come from a company called Market America, It is a powder that you mix with 2 oz. of water and the kids drink it. Tastes like citrus. "Isotonix" means same pressure as your body, so the vitamins absorb into the body at a high rate (95-99%) unlike tablets that you swallow and then digest or vitamins you chew and have a low absorption rate.
You can order them online: www.marketamerica.com/vanderson
Be sure to register for the rewards program.
Thanks

I use and completely believe in Flinstone vitamins. For the younger kids (starting age 2) they can have the flinstone gummies. For the older kids (once they hit 4)can have the regular chewables. My doctor even told me to take the flinstone vitamins for myself. She said that they are better than most of the other vitamins on the market.
We use the generic chewable Target version (similar to flinstone vitamins). We did try the gummy ones, but you have to give them 2 of them versus 1 of the regular chewable ones. With 2 kids on chewable vitamins, we save money where we can.
We started L'il Critters Gummy Vites a few months back when our 3 year old was getting one bug after the next. His doctor says he does not need them as long as he is eating well, but I felt I needed to try something. I found these vitamins at Costco, but I think they're also at Target. He LOVES them. I think they're great because they don't have artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. I also like that they are not over full of things. You can do harm by getting too much of certain things. Whether coincidence or not, our son has been much healthier since we started them.
I also had him start their Omega-3 vitamins in the last month. He does not like the taste of these as well, but my husband and I SWEAR his behavior is better on them. Of course I can not prove this, but there is some research that points to Omega 3's helping ADHD kids.
My son who's 3 has been taking Mona Vie (organic acai juice/superfruit juice) for a year, and gets the equivalent of 7 servings of fruits in a 2 oz serving. He loves it, and even though he's in daycare and is an EXTREMELY picky eater (eats no veggies or meat), he's thriving, and very rarely gets even a sniffle. Our pediatrician also supports this addition in his diet.
My husband and I drink it, too, and have had great results. You can see more at www.mymonavie.com/jesnough. Feel free to reach me at ###-###-#### if you have any questions!
