Reliv makes a wonderful product for babies to adult. It's called "Kids Now" is patented and comes in chocolate and vanilla. You mix it with whatever liquid you want. Excellent reviews!
Hi Mom's,
We have been taking Polyvisol since infancy. She seems to like it but I feel like it may be time for the next step. We have tried the gummy type vitamins with no luck. I believe quality matters in a vitamin but it also has to be agreeable to my soon to be 3 yr old. Any suggestions?
Thanks! S.

I give my kids juice plus gummies, and feel really good about them. If you talk to someone who sells them, you can probably try them for free. My kids love them!
Hi S.! I found a Flintstone chewable that advertises to be specially formulated for 2 & 3 year olds. I found them at Target. They are a bit smaller in size compared to the regular Flintstones. Of course, they do have sugar and dye. I asked Grace's MD about them and she said they were fine for Grace to take. This is her first vitamin. I would still like to do a little research and maybe find a sugar-free, natural vitamin. But right now, I am satisfied with these and Grace seems to like them fine. She wasn't really sure about them the first few days, but now she looks forward to taking her vitamin.
Good luck finding something that works for your daughter!!
Hi S.,

Because my son (almost 3) has started refusing to eat any type of vegetable in any form what so ever, our Ped put him on Flintstones brand "My First Flintsones" - just a few tablets a week wasa his suggestion. I give him one tablet every other day. He likes to choose his own color and has yet to realize that they are actual shapes of characters as he has never seen that cartoon, but he likes them, they are like a treat for him I guess. My sister got very sick from prenatal vitamins and took 2 Flintstones Complete vitamins a day throughout all three of her pregnancies so it must be a decent brand.
Juice Plus. There are a lot of people who sell it. The childrens gummies are really good.
www.marketamerica.com/2bewell has a great line of Isotonix health and nutrition products. My family has been using these products for almost 5 yrs. now and we all have had wonderful benefits. Isotonix means "same as" and as a powder mixed with water, it is delivered directly to the small intesting for 95% absorption...this makes a huge difference between all the gummie, chewable, or juices out there. Might-a-Mins is the vitamin my children take which also contain phytonutrients blend and probiotics. As you may know probiotics are good for the digestive system. My kids all love the taste and have never fussed drinking it every night. My daughter says it tastes like juice and it does. Good for you for starting your child on vitamins, they really do make a difference in overall health, but remember you get what you pay for. Quality and absorption matters so pick your products wisely.
Be well,
V.
My three 1/2 yr old takes Nature's Plus Animal Parade with whole food concentrates. She absolutely LOVES these. She reminds me to give them to her. They are chewable with assorted flavors. She has been taking these for nearly a year now. We started with just giving her one and in the last 3 - 6 mos or so we began giving her two. I'm not sure where you are, but I find these at the Nutrition Stop in St Peters. Hope this helps!
I truly believe Juice Plus+ is the best product on the market. It is available from independent distributors only. It comes in gummy, chewable or capsule form. My kids started taking it when they were 2. We also switched at that time from Polyvisol. The best thing about JP+ is it is actually whole food nutrition so your child is not getting fragmented vitamins & too much of 1 thing & not enough of another. The nutrients found in JP+ are from actual fruits & vegetables that have been juiced & dried & then encapsulated. I am happy to send you more information if you are interested. Feel free to check out my website www.jenashauer4jp.com. I am available to answer any questions.
Oprah did a study a few years ago on vitamin supplements & discovered one needs to be very careful in finding supplements. In her study,it was found that many of the labels were not accurate. Meaning many of the vitamins did not contain what the label said was in them. 1 children's vitamin was also found to have small traces of lead in it. Another adult vitamin label read "prolonged use may cause oesteoporosis". Her study was a real eye opener. Then, I could recite numerous studies that talk about how isolated vitamin supplements do not actually build the immune system or help in preventing diabetes, heart disease & cancer. Again, I urge you to research whatever supplement you decide on for your child & yourself for that matter.

I am with you on the high quality multi-vitamin!! Have you been introduced to the company Arbonne International home based health and wellness company. I have been giving my girls the multivitamin since they each were two and they are now 8 - almost 9 and 5 1/2. I will say my children have never gotten the flu vaccine and we are a healthy family. My children are very healthy and only doctor visits are for well checks. If you would like an ingredient listing please contact me at ###-###-#### or ____@____.com. I hope that you find this information helpful and also I noticed we are in same area so if you would like to sample and see the ingredient listing let me know.
Most don't or aren't aware that Vitamin D is a key to add during the winter months!!!

We use yummi bears for my children (2 and 4) by Hero. They're naturally flavored and colored and very good tasting (though they don't smell as good as they taste, I've tried them and like them a lot). We don't give them every day, our kids eat a balanced diet and I'm not too worried about it, but I got them as a treat. Sometimes they want a little treat, and these are it, once a day or less (we do make the distinction that these are medicine, but they love them anyway). Anyway, they're much better tasting than the other gummis I've tried, and natural, but rather pricy, I think.

I have my kids take vitamins from a health and wellness company that has natural products and great vitamins that they absorb 85% and they have been patented and research by a 3rd party company. This company has been in business for 23 years. Take a look at the website. Love to share more information with you. www.livefamilydreams.info
I use Source of Life Animal Parade chewables for my 3 yr. old, and she loves them. They're from whole food concentrates, vegetarian, and hypoallergenic. I've found them at Jennifer's Pharmacy in Clayton and The Natural Way in Creve Couer. Good luck!

I like to get things as naturally as possible. There is a drink powder called Super Fruits Plus. It is added to water, fruity tasting and has only organic fruits. It has all these: strawberries, cranberries, acacia fiber, carrots, cherries, black berries, red raspberries, acerola, Black raspberries, pomegranates, bananas, watermelon, beets, flax seed, mango's, papayas, peaches, apples and pineapples.
I think it tastes better mixed with quite a bit of water and a little cranberry or cherry juice. It needs to be mixed very well to get the powder to completely dissolve.
Other than this, I also like the naked juices. Those are real juices, not made from many concentrates. They have a green machine mix that's very good tasting. They have a protein blend, an antioxidant blend etc.
I also like the V8 vegetable blend juices. It's so much better to get real nutrition from real and whole foods than from a pill.

My daughter went through the Polyvisol stage as well since infancy and then was able to discontinue it when she was a yr now she is 2 and the Pediatrician has recomended a multuvitamin because children aren't getting enough of vitamin D in their diet the standards have changed it has doubled. I use what was also recomended Flintstones Complete but only half of one daily until she is 3 or 4 then a whole 1,or there is some that are gummies for ages 2-3 and I belive those you can give 1 whole daily but I haven't bought them yet because i'm able to use up what I have.My kiddos don't hesitate to take them after breakfast.
What ever vitamin you do get, even if labeled for children, watch the dosage. We were using a chewable compareable to Flinstones and our little guy was bouncing off the walls after taking one. Then we looked at the bottle and until the age of four or five they were only supposed to have one half of the chewable....
Have you heard of Reliv? You can mix it with milk like a shake. If interested I can get you the name of a good rep. Email me at ____@____.com

I'm pretty sure Flintstones contain petroleum, not to mention the artificial colors & added sugar. They certainly taste good, but they do not promote health.
My 2 year old only takes Shaklee Ocean Wonders. No junk, just pure vitamins & minerals from natural sources.
