I would never trust my son's health to any company but Shaklee. I really believe in the quality of their products. They make both a chewable multi-vitamin for kids and a powder that can be mixed in juice or food.

My son's Dr. told me that he should start taking a multi vitamin in the winter. Since he has never taken one what do you recommend?
Or what don't you like.
Any and all input would be great!
Thanks!

Good morning M. K,
I have to agree that I thought Shaklee vitamins were great, actually the best when I was a Shaklee rep. HOWEVER, I have switched companies and after years with this company I have to say that Melaleuca vitamins are the absolute best on the market and much cheaper than the rest. My whole family from 3 to 58 takes them. Melaleuca also has a proven patented absorbtion and Oligofructose Compounding mineral delivery system in all our vitamins for kids and adults.
Melaleuca for children is $9.49 and they are in the form of gummy bears so the kids like them
Shaklee for children is $12.19 and is a powder that you have to mix in drinks.
Amway/Nutrilite for children is $16.95
Melaleuca complete pack (keeps the digestive and immune systems in check, cholesterol levels right, bones and joints lubricated and strengthened, mind sharp, heart and eyes healthy) for adults is $99.99 and they come in special packs for men, women, pre-natal, and the over 50 crowd men or women.
Remember the McCaughey septuplets? Bobbi McCaughey absolutely used our Melaleuca "Vitality for Life" and they still do.

Not to mention these famous people: http://www.companycredentials.com/famous.htm
Shaklee pack (not complete as you have to add supplements to get what the Melaleuca complete gives you)for adults is $93.25.
Amway complete pack for adults is $146.90
Of course if you do not want the complete pack,
Melaleuca Multivitamin/Mineral pack is $19.99
Shaklee is $23.05
Amway is a little less expensive at $11.30 but again we have the have a proven scientific Oligofructose Compounding mineral delivery system.
All these prices are if you are a member and get the member discount.
So if you decide you want more information or want to get your family healthy and on the road to a great start, contact me and I will be more than happy to help.

we used flinstones for toddlers but now just by the generic version
We use the ones from Trader Joe's (not the gummy ones) They are called Trader Darwin's Children's Chewable Vitamins. My pediatrician recommended them. My 2.5 yr old and 4.5 yr old have been taking it for almost a year now.
Good luck,
Aarti.
We are using Gummy Vites by Lil Critters. I buy them at costco in the big jar and it is way less expensive than bying them at Target. My girl just loves them.
We use the flinstones ones...our 3 year old loves them. I'm guessing a place like GNC might have better ones???
We used to use vitamins and then I realized they were constipating my son. I have tried many brands, but just wanted to let you know to watch out for this. I don't give them any more vitamins for this reason and I don't notice any difference.
We use the Vita Bears from Melaleuca. They are natural and I thought it would be better for my daughters to eat natural vitamins.
I buy them online.
We use Kirkland brand children's chewable (from Costco). I tried one -- they don't taste as good as Flintstones, but they are much cheaper and my kids seem to like them.
Good for you to be proactive for your son's health. First of all, vitamins are NOT alike. If you buy them from other places than a good health food store, you are literally wasting your money. The FDA does not regulate our vitamins and therefore you get what you pay for. Added sugar, chemicals, dyes, preservatives, etc. You have to be an educated consumer so that you aren't wasting your money. I'd be happy to provide you with some information on a powdered form which is very easy to dispense. Many kids can't swallow, chew or just plain don't like the taste of other vitamins. Read the labels!! Do yourself a favor and your family a favor, send me your email address and I'd be happy to send you some information! Here's to your health!
