Apparently the planets are alined and the gravitation pull is perfect. I have 2 brooms standing on my kitchen floor for the past hour and 50 minutes.
Try it see if it works at your house. You may have to rotate the broom a couple of times and keep trying but it works.
Any one try this? Let me know, please.

Sorry for the misspell :-(

My broom is cut on an angle too and it's been standing by itself for 2 hours and 5 minutes now. If I can get the pictures off my phone I will post them. I have 2 hairbrushes with rounded handles standing up on the bathroom counter too. I got a pen to stand but it fell over. A egg is supposed to work too but it wouldn't for me.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well everyone, they have been standing since about 8:15 last night and it is now 10:20 AM. It's supposed to work for the next couple of days. Keep trying, I had to rotate my broom a few degrees back and forth before I got it to work. It's also a good science thing for the kids in school.

Yes it would be great if they would sweep. LOL -- I have my grandson today and between him and the dogs mine go knocked over and wouldn't stand alone again. I think I will use the broom and try again. :-))

There IS something in the planets. My husband got out of bed BEFORE 7 am. stood up by himself, and made his own coffee. It's a miracle.

When I lived in my apartment, there was one spot between the fridge and the cabinets where the broom would stand up by itself. Every time. It was just that one little piece of floor that was perfectly level. I haven't found a place in my house yet. I think it's sad that I have actively tried for two years with no luck. :(

Do you mean bizarre? (sorry - a bazaar is an outdoor shopping area in a middle eastern country). If so... how odd! My broom still tips over - but it's one of those wedge type ones so I don't think it can ever really stand up on it's own.

You should take a picture of yours!

When I read this, I was skeptical and figured it wouldn't work here and went on about my daily routine. Later, I was sweeping the laundry room and thought what the heck! It worked! My angled broom is standing with handle pointing north east! I only had to rotate it a couple different ways, but I could FEEL the upward gravitational pull while doing this! I left my dirt pile on the floor because I want to leave the broom alone and show the kids later today! I can't wait to share this with the teachers I will see at meetings today!

Sadly, I only have the brooms that are cut on the diagonal so I'm out of luck : P
