I do a green pepper steak with it. I cube it, lightly flour and brown, add onions, green peppers, a can of tomatos and cover to cook for 45 minutes to an hour on very low heat. I serve it with rice. It uses less flour and oil than chicken fried steak, I use about a table spoon of oil and a little less than a cup of flour to coat.
My family likes it!
We also have used tenderized round steak for fajitas- just cut thin.
If you make pasty's (a really old school recipe) I have used it in those, but we don't eat them much because of the fat. It is a meat and potato pie with onions, parsley, salt and peper- cube round steak and cubed peeled potatoes,, chopped onion- add dots of butter (nearly a quarter cup) all through the filling-all wrapped up in a pastry crust and baked for about an hour. Not very healthy, but delicous.
