I have been thinking about trying Tea-bo as an at home work out. I used to do it when I was younger and I know I am going to hurt the first few times. When I was younger it was more just for something to do once a week. Has anyone actually had a good result from using these video's? How long did it take to see results? And has anyone really kept up with his fast high kicks I mean really?!? I can't do it! I do one to his two.

I am thinking about trying every other day for the first week. I still know most of the moves so I hope I can get back in the swing quickly

What can I do next?

I did Tae Bo 13 years ago when I wanted to lose weight for my wedding! I did it every other day, and it worked wonders! At that time, I was able to do every kick. It took my awhile to build up to it though, but I remember being thrilled when I could finally do it.

I wish I still have the DVD. Your post really makes me want to start up again!

It's Tae Bo (pronounce Tie-Bow) are great work outs - especially the Billy Banks set. DO NOT start out on the intense work outs until you have mastered the boot camp - novice level.

He does NOT expect you to keep up with his kicks, at least not in the beginning...

DO it. It's good.

GO for it! Yes - I REALLY get those kicks now. At first - no. Just like anything, it takes practice. And I'm 42 ;-) Just try to get as many kicks in as you can - who cares if you're not in time with him anyway? Results? Um - if I ate better, I'd probably have better results. But - any regular exercise is going to help you towards your goal. There are lots of good tips on www.livestrong.com, plus a free calorie counter (daily plate) if you want some tips. I love TaeBo - but that's because I LOVE throwing kicks and punches. Gets some of the stress out. If you don't love throwing kicks and punches - check out some of the beach body home workouts - lots to choose from there too. I've done P90X, INSANITY, and Les MIlls Pump now. TaeBo is still my fav though. Have fun - get a sweat in everyday - eat right - you'll reach your goals slowly. Good luck!

TaeBo kicked my a** back into shape a) when I first started working out 10 yrs ago, b) after my first kid (within 6 weeks I was at my pre-preg weight/shape), and c) after my second kid.

So yes. And if you train with it reguarly, you can 100% keep up with his fast high kicks. I do.

It's very, very effective. You're going to hurt, getting started. But make sure your form is correct, and you won't risk any damage.
For me, the first time I started with TaeBo, I lost an inch off my thighs in 2 weeks.

You can do it!
(And personally, I perfer the old Advanced Live videos, over the new 24/7 ones. They pack more punch than his newer stuff. But that's just me.)
