I wasn't trying to get prego, so didn't know when I conceived and was extremely sick and my OB did an ultrasound and realized I was puking at 2 weeks along!!
I'm wondering how soon after conception signs may be noticed. I realize not everyone has morning/afternoon/evening sickness, sore breasts, exhaustion, etc. But those that have experienced signs like that when was it. I'm just wondering if it is instantly draining. I guess I'm not sure exactly what I'm trying to say/ask.....just wondering your experiences.

With my first baby, my nipples were painfully sore two days after we conceived. According to every source, it's way too soon to feel anything, but let me tell you, I did! (We knew exactly when we conceived because we'd just started infertility treatments.)
With my second baby, my breasts didn't really react so much (of course, I had just finished 17 months of nursing, so they'd been through the wringer!).
Good luck--it's so exciting and so nerve-wracking waiting to find out!!
Hi! I was completely exhausted! I thought it was because I was working 2 jobs. But I was alot more tired than normal. My breasts hurt and I had cramps. I just thought I was getting my period! But after feeling this way for 2 months and NOT getting my period I went to the dr and found out I was 8 weeks pregnant! I never had morning sickness just the cramps which went away! Good luck and I have my fingers crossed for you!
I have fertility issues and because I was going in for weekly ovulation tests found out early -- around 3 weeks.
After I found out I realized why my breast were sore, why I couldn't seem to get the diet I was starting off the ground and why I was so tired. Looking back I'd say the symptoms started quickly 1 1/2 to 2 weeks in to the pregnancy.
With my first, I had mild cramps making me think my period was coming, which would have been about 1-2 weeks after conception. I had morning sickness with all 3 about 3 weeks in. Also, when we were trying for our second my friend was also trying and she told me her doctor said too many people count wrong - they think half way through their cycle is correct, but he said from the day you expect your next period-count backwards 14 days and that's the day conception is most likely. It worked for both of us!! Good luck!
Hi M.! If I remember correctly, conception is usually about two weeks before the first missed period. I remember when I first got pregnant, I was exhausted about a week, maybe even a week & a half before I was able to take the store-bought test. I was having such a hard time staying awake on my 40 minute drive home from work, and I couldn't figure out why. I knew I wasn't sick or anything. We'd been ttc for a while by that point, and I didn't make the connection. Then when I took the test the following week and it came back positive, I finally put the pieces together! The overwhelming tiredness stopped after the first month or two, but I couldn't believe how absolutely draining it was right at first! The sore breasts came about a month or two into the pregnancy, and I never really experienced sicknesss, as long as I snacked lightly throughout the day. Hope that helps!! Good luck ttc!! =)
My first was unplanned, but by the time my period was due I was sure I was pregnant: my boobs were tingly and very sore, my sense of smell went berserk and I felt really warm all the time (and it was December), which is very odd for me.
With the baby I'm expecting next month, my first symptom was that I cried about something I would never ever cry about. That got me pretty suspicious, but I was only 8 days past ovulation at that point and didn't want to test. I waited two more days and got a positive - that was 4 days before my period was due.
GL!
I took a pregnancy test 2 weeks after the day we conceived... long story, but we know the exact day he was created! From the day I found out looking back I started feeling signs about a week after conception. I was really tired, no energy when I was awake, painful breasts felt a bit sick to my stomach and I had had light spotting.
My best advice for you it to relax and to not think about it!!
I wasn't sore until later, but I was sooo exhausted I thought I had anemia or mono. The exhaustion started about 1 week before my period was due. I also had an extremely stuffy nose which did continue through my entire pg.
We tried for over a year for our first baby, so I know what it's like to be anxiously awaiting any sort of sign. Good luck and I hope congratulations are due soon!
I was drained and sick a week after conception. Decided to take the test before my missed period because i was in mid conversation with my husband and fell asleep he didn't wake me up until we got home (20 mins we were in the car) that was at 2 weeks and i took the test and got a mega positive almost as soon as the urine hit the stick. Everyone is different as there are some women that don't know until they feel the baby move.
Hi M.-
I had twins and I noticed within the first 2 weeks-- actually commented at week 6 that I know I've never carried long enough to get this far (miscars)and know I"m older, but criminy-- I must have more than one cuz I was in maternity with bigger chest etc and couldn't stay awake with pronounced food aversions and the like-- ended up twins.!! We laughed.
Depends on how you react and again how well in tune to your body-- others go til they miss 2 periods?? and find out.
One thing is depletion of omega 3 fatty acids-- some syptoms are related to that as your baby takes yours, so supplementation helps. just fyi
Good luck conceiving-- it's grand!
