I have a question about my possible pregnancy. There is a good chance that my hubby and I conceived this past Saturday, Sept 10 based on it being a high fertile day for me. It has been only four days, but I feel slightly different and have some mild cramps along with some occasional discharge. I usually don't get cramping unless I'm menstrating so that is why I am wondering what is going on. I know I am probably not pregnant yet, or possibley could be. I am wondering if the cramps are a possible sign of implantation taking place or not. The first time I got pregnant, it was a complete surprise so I didnt pay attention to the early pregnancy signs. I just missed my period. But now that I am trying to get pregnant, I am wondering how fast some of these signs start to occur. I have read that implantation can take place anywhere from 2-12 days. I guess my question is have any of you any sort of symptoms within a few days of conception? And if so, what where they? I guess the main question is: Are they any physical signs of implantation?

Implantation typically happens 7-10 after ovulation. With less then 7 days being not as common.
Yes, there can be physical signs of implantationn. However, I think it would be VERY rare to experience any kind of symptom just 4 days after sex. Sometimes, when we want things, we feel what we want. (I speak from experience, and I think every woman trying to concieve goes through the same thing.)
There can be some mild cramping, but more commonly the only sign is a little spotting... and its usually 7-10 days after conception... its so easy to read into every little "sign" though. My husband and I tried for 3 years before getting pregnant and there were so many months that i was looking so hard for signs i swear i was making things up. I got obsessed with things for a while. I researched every detail of fertility. I learned a lot and got very in tune with my body, but I'm sure it wasn't healthy for me to be so focused on it.
It doesn't hurt to be on the lookout for things that could mean pregnancy... but it definitely makes life easier to take a breath and step back and wait (easier said than done, I know!)... that "2 week wait" between conception and tesitng can be brutal.

I sometimes have a small amount of spotting with implantation. It is usually pinkish or brown and very scant (not even enough for a pad). This tends to happen around 10 days after conception, a little before a period is due. I have not had implantation spotting with all of my 11 pregnancies, but it has happened a few times. I am pregnant now, and implantation spotting was my first pregnancy sign this time.
Yes, cramping is a sign. And, just "feeling" pregnant. There can also be fatigue and change of smell/taste. It can happen at different times for women (or not at all). The last time I was prego, I felt sick (change of smell/taste) almost immediately upon implantation. I also got crampy. Hmmm...I wonder if you're prego! Won't it be nice when you can test?!!
I remember telling my husband that I was about to get my period. My symptoms? Cramping and a small amount of spotting. We were at a wedding. Well, my period never made an appearance, instead an exclamation point! The proof is in my 18-month-old toddler. So yes, I think there is physical signs of implantation. I'm pretty convinced my little one was taking up residence!
I noticed cramping with my first pregnancy and second pregnancies. The first time I figured I was going to get my period... the second time I knew it was the implantation.... with my third I never felt that.

A few women will experience slight cramping and/or spotting/bleeding. Most women feel nothing. The average time for implantation is 10 days post fertilization, so this would certainly be very early to feel anything. I would not take an absence of "symptoms" as a bad sign. And the presence of "symptoms" may be implantation, or a sign your period is about to start. It is hard not to think about it, but you won't really know anything until you test at your (hopefully) missed period. Wishing you the best.
I felt implantation with my first, and so did my SIL. Yes, it's possible, but sometimes your mind plays tricks on you or you are so focused on thinking you're pregnant that you play up symptoms that don't really mean anything. I guess you'll find out for sure in a few weeks! :-D
Reading through the answers, my signs are probably not normal. I didn't realize it at the time, but now that I've been pregnant 3 times, one thing I had early on with all was a very loud ringing in my ears, and kind of a fuzziness in my head. The ringing was so loud I couldn't hear people. Now I attribute that to hormonal changes. I would also just feel pregnant.... tired, a heaviness in my head and limbs, breast tenderness. It's really hard to tell for sure until you take a pregnancy test though. I never had spotting or cramps, but I've heard that can take place with implatation.
If you are charting your temp and other signs of fertility you'll know if a few days if you are pregnant. Charting will help you in many ways and I highly suggest it.
