Stylist Needed for Extreme Dye Job

Hi ladies,

It occurred to me that I'm not getting any younger and I’ve always wanted to do something interesting with my hair color – more than just a dye job in a box – so I’ve decided to go blue for the summer. The thing is I’m really worried about botching the job, so I want to go to a professional. Can anyone recommend a stylist or salon that has experience in this area and will do a great job on my hair? I would prefer someone in the SF Valley, if possible. Thanks!

What can I do next?

try Valerie at the Tamara Dahill salon in Toluca lake on Riverside Dr.
she is really good with color, even though I get a basic highlight and tint, she could do BLUE, I ve seen her own hair many colors including BLUE, she is very hip and young with lots of cool tattoos, tell her T. Owen sent you.

Hi G.,

I LOVE my hair stylist. I never used to get my hair done professionally because it was too expensive. But I finally did it about two years ago on a friends recomendation, and I love it. My stylist is Brenda and she is @ the Purple Salon on Ventura blvd in Woodland Hills ###-###-####. I will now never let anyone do my hair but her. She is not only great at cuts but she is a great colorist. After I had baby # 2 I was going through something and I felt like I needed change, so I dyed my hair jet black from a bottle from the store. My hair was really messed up and she fixed it. I really do get a lot of compliments on my hair. She's wonderful! Hope you find someone your comfortable with! Good luck!

How awesome that you want to be awesome?!!! Its true, we aren't getting any younger. And we are moms- we are so allowed to be hip. I felt the need to change up my hair too right before my daughter was born. I went from light blonde to super dark! Best decision ever. Anywho... You must go to frenchy's in Burbank. Juliana is the best and actually does her own hair in turq navy and black. Excellent color placement plus she can give you the best info on how to maintain it! Reasonable prices and the salon is very layed back. ###-###-####.

My stylist was doing my hair on Saturday and I was looking at the samples...Yes, blue was one of them. She is an incredible stylist. Her name is Ronna...she owns Lukaro's with her husband who does wonderful haircuts. She only does color. Another lady that I went to from their salon is Kay who is at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She did my hair for years...nothing like that. However, she has done the Osbourne's family hair for a very long time. Good Luck with your new look.

Dear G.,

Not sure if this will work or not, but a friend of mine on MySpace had an absolutely beautiful dye job done on her with a very bright pink and then again with blue. It wasn't a complete color, but rather mixed with her natural color and it was stunning. That is what I first noticed about her. (I actually met her at a convention, and her hair was the first thing I noticed and I couldn't help but comment on how beautiful it was!) Anyhow, not sure if you have a MySpace account or not, but her page address is:

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.view...

Hopefully you can see it as her profile pic shows her beautiful hair. This could be an idea for you if you want to do something dramatic, but not completely change the color. Unfortunately, she lives in Arizona, so not sure about where you can get it done, but maybe it will give you some ideas!

Hope this helps a little bit! If you want to chat some more, just send me an email at: ____@____.com

Take care and have a Happy Easter!

Are you willing to go to Burbank? My girlfriend, Wanda, does amazing work... and is a alot of fun! I'm sorry, I don't have the address to her salon, but her number is ###-###-####. Her prices are the most reasonable around, too. Let her know I sent you. :)

Hi Gorgettte. I don't knpw if you are in the LA area, but if you are - go see Wendy in Studio City! She's an expert colorist and has been coloring my hair for 13 years (I get three different highlight colors). She's a whiz at fixing botched color jobs too and her work is most natural. An all around perfectionist. I wouldn't refer you to her if I didn't think she was spectacular at color!

You can rach her here: Wendy Alcorn ###-###-####
Tell her I referred you.

All the best,

K.

Hello I'm a mom of an 10 month old and I go to a girl in Calabasas if that isn't too far. I don't think she would enjoy dying your hair blue though :) Her prices are resonable and she also cuts kids hair too. I like the way she styles and colors my hair.
