Hi ladies! I have horrible stretch marks after my BIG 2nd baby. I have not tried any products yet but have looked into Strivectin. The reviews I read were not great at all though. For those who have stretch marks, what products have you found to be effective? Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the replies! I have looked into Bio-oil and read many great reviews on how well it will lighten the scars up. I know the previous stretch marks from my daughter have so I know these from my big fella will as well. I am proud of my "battle scars". They are a reminder of the two beautiful children I have. I just would like for the stretch marks to look a little "better"! LOL! Thanks again for all of your help!

Try vitamin E oil. I used it during my pregnancies instead of afterwards. But it worth trying it out! Hope it works.

Hi A., I know only surgery gets rid of stretch marks, but I used a cream called Barmon and it worked very well. It lighten them up a lot. I still have the marks, but they are very light, some you can barely see. It is not too expensive, and it worked for me. You can give it try. http://www.barmon.com/

Hello, I too have stretch marks. I know Clinique makes a stretch mark product. I also know that Palmers cocoa butter cream that for stretch marks works pretty well. I have heard good and bad reviews on it. I tried it, and it did diminish them some. I just wasn't consistent about using it.

Good luck to you.

I heard most creams promise results, when in fact only laser surgery works. I have them too....

Stretch marks are not surface stains or cuts. It is the tissue underneath that has been stretched apart due to strain. Once it's torn, it doesn't go back together like it was pre-baby.
I have them from my first child and each child after added his own "mark". Those are my battle scars and I wear them proudly...no I don't show people!
Tummy tuck can remove the skin and thereby the marks but leaves it's own scar. Laser might help....
Just like grey hair....I've earned them! Smile and go on.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Hi A.....I'm afraid the other ladies are rigt! Only surgery or lazer treatments will get rid of stretch marks. I did use the Strivectin and it did lighten them VERY well and VERY quickly, but they ARE still VERY visible. It wasn't worth the heafty price tag for me! They will lighten on their own eventually. I have also tried the Avon stretch mark cream and that did absolutely NOTHING. Unless you've scheduled a tummy tuck or lazer therapy, ya gotta get used to them! I don't show my belly, but I have gotten used to them by just remembering that it's a small price to pay for my wonderful lil' man!!

I found a wonderful product called Elicina. If you go to www.bpureh.com and look under Beauty and Body Products I think you'll really like it... That site will take you to a site where you can read about and purchase the product... I worked for me in so many different ways. I also used it on my face for dark marks I truly love the product...

Blessings,
KM

Unfortunately you can spend a fortune in creams and oils, but the only thing that will make them go away is surgery -tummy tuck or some laser procedures. They fade gradually on their own, but once you have them nothing but a cosmetic surgeon will truly get rid of them. I'm having a tummy tuck next year, so I feel your pain and have done LOTS of research!
