We are at home :-( We were going to do a day trip today, but DD has a cold. Boo!!
No big plans other than go outside and enjoy convertible weather.
We've had record days over 100 in temps, loving a bit of a cool down right now!!
No. My husband came down witha case of the runs yesterday and squashed our plans :( So, I'm just being a nurse. Still in my nightgown.

NO. Hubby ended up having emergencies at work two days in a row. I am going on a date with him tonight though. =)
Well.... Every child that I have normally on the weekend has come with a guest. I'm not sure exactly how that happened. Chalk it up to me not knowing how to say no. THEN, not one family has picked up all day long even close to on time. One family came 3 hours late, one isn't coming at all and will pick up tomorrow, and the other family is already a couple hours late and one of the boys is upset because he's usually gone by now. So not exactly. We did go out and play and have watched some cool movies and some of the kids are in great moods. But I'm READY for this weekend holiday to be over.
So, for the first time, in I don't know how long, we are not going anywhere. Nothing special at all. Hubby was off work on Friday also, so it's a 4 day weekend for us. He has been spending alot of time studying for the CPA exam, so busy busy, and of course I'm with the kids. We've done a little of this and that this weekend, went for a family hike today at Sagamore hill, with friends of ours, our 3 kids and 2 dogs, their 2 kids and 2 dogs. It was fun, the kids all swam in the Long Island Sound for a bit with their clothes on, had a blast. We went to a birthday party. We are always going to my inlaws lake house and/or doing a big bbq at our house, and this weekend for the first time in FOREVER, NOPE - nada. And I'm happy :-)
Me/Hubby & the kids... went out all over the island yesterday.
Today, my son is sick and not feeling well. Feverish.
Poor thing.
I am home with him.
My Hubby/daughter are out.
Its fine.
Its a nice weekend regardless.
BUSY weekend!! We went to Winchester, Va yesterday to have lunch with my amazing Grandfather. He treats my kids like he treats my siblings and I...whereas my mom's mom uses the "n" word being our backs to describe our mixed children. Ugh. Both of my dad's parents have passed, so I'm very grateful and blessed to have my grandfather be who he is :). His healthy is not the best, so we make the 8 hour round trip as often as possible to spend time with him!! Today we took our kiddo's to the Air Show (talk about being proud to be an American!!). I think tomorrow we will BBQ...maybe invite some family over. Happy Labor Day everyone!
