Hi, I want to buy a new stroller. I have so far a daughter which is 3 month old and I want to have a second child maybe in three years. Does anyone has a Phil & Ted´s stroller already? If yes, are you satisfied? And how much do I need to spend for the stroller and the other equipments (cupholder, raincover, etc)? Or do you another stroller would be better?

What can I do next?

I do not know what the Phil&Ted stroller is (my kids are 10 and 13) but I do know that I owned about 5 strollers in all over the years. I would not get a double stroller if you only have one child right now. Buy the stoller you need now and when the time comes, you can always get a used double stroller from a consignment store. I would go to a good baby store and ask what they recommend for the terrain you will be using. I had researched the "perfect" stroller and went to a family owned store to buy it, and the great sales person asked how it would be used and recommended a different stoller that I LOVED. My daughter needed to be out of the sun so when I walked (daily for 45 minutes) I needed to be able to switch the seat around to keep her away from then sun. I had selected a Peg Perego with the handle that can move from front facing to rear facing seat. But I also live on a dirt road and the wheels of the Peg Perego would not have worked well. So she recommended an Emmaljunga. I kept that single stroller for years and years and even took it to Europe to travel since the big wheels were perfect for cobblestone streets. So make a list of your needs and discuss it with a sales person. A good store will match an online price.

I have a phil & teds and it is my go to stroller - it's great! (I recently sold my Sport model to upgrade to the new explorer model). I have a jolly jumper stroller caddy on it (it has two cup holders, a cell phone holder, and a little compartment) and I think that was $20. I don't have or use any of the other accessories.

Definitely! With my first child (now 2 1/4 years old) I got the Chicco travel system, which was fine, but never really thought about the fact that I'd eventually need a double stroller, so now I just forked over more money for a 2nd stroller, when I should've bought the double in the first place! (I have a 5 month old)

I have the P&T Sport double stroller (tandem). I love it because it is pretty compact in length (versus other double tandems) so I have no trouble going to the mall with it. I wish I had upgraded to the next version up (Explorer) as I hate the brake on the Sport.

The big drawback with the stroller is the lack of storage space, but that's really only an issue if I go to the mall. 95% of the time I use the stroller for neighborhood walking and it rides/drives like a dream! my girlfriend lives in the city and she got the "saddle bags" for her extra storage. I did buy the "fanny pack" to store my keys and stuff in (and it contains 2 drink holders) but it it sort of a joke as it hangs from the handlebar.

The other slight drawback, is that the stroller is pretty heavy (23 lbs I think), which gives me a good work-out when pushing uphill (23 lbs + 10 lbs baby + 28 lb toddler). It's taken me a bit of practice to can use to collapsing and uncollapsing it.

Lastly, yes, search on the web. I got my via eBay (a stroller retailer out of Chicago I believe) and definitely paid $100 less than if I had bought it in a store. And got free shipping!

I've had my Phil & Ted's for over 5 years and I've loved it. It's held up well with two kids, and the first three years we had it, we were living in NYC, so it got a ton of daily use. I think the sunscreen and the raincover are really the only essential things to get. I also got the backpack, and have used it a lot (it clips to the back of the stroller). The cradle, side bags, etc, have not gotten hardly any use. I got the single seat first, and sprung for the second seat (and double covers) when I had my second child. I can't help you on pricing much - but really do your research online. I found my stroller for at least $50 less then I expected by being thorough.
