What Is Your Favorite Double Stroller?

I am a SAHM of a 25 month old boy and a 5 month old baby girl. I did my share of research as well and then just decided to try the Baby Trend Sit-n-stand Plus. It is a regular tandem that also converts the back seat to a jump seat. It has a good size basket and the whole thing is pretty light weight. It folds just as compactly as my full size graco stroller did. I think once you get the hang of removing and putting on the back seat, it is very easy. It also can hold most infant carrier car seats in the front seat with the adapter, or in the back seat where I like to put it. It also has a parent tray with two cupholders and a closable compartment in the center.

So far we really love the stroller and all of its versatility. I too had heard the Graco duoglide was the best, but wanted my toddler to feel a little freedom or maybe not so much a baby. He has no objections when I say let's go for a ride in the stroller. That is the most important thing for me!

I have a Joovy Caboose, it is just like the sit and stand and it I love it. We got it at Babies R Us and I especially like it because it is so light and easy to collapse. I would reccomend it to anyone with 2+ kids.

I second the recommendation for the Graco Quattro Tour Duo Stroller. That is the one we bought after lots of research and asking around and reading reviews. We love it. It's really fast to fold down and for me it's not hard to put in the trunk. I'm not a terribly big or strong person either (almost 5 ft 4 in, 115 lbs). I highly recommend it. We LOVE it. It's easy to push around. Though we have used it a lot and it's been on several plane trips (they are not nice to strollers!) and I think the wheels now need a little tightening...but that's not the stroller's fault.

I got the Baby Trend Sit-n-Stand XL. It has the option to take the back seat off and you have a place for an older child to sit or stand if they get tired. We have not taken the back seat off but we are about to. My kids are 22 months apart and we have enjoyed the stroller so far. It is heavy about 28 pounds but it folds up and out easily.

i love my phil and ted's double stroller b/c it is only as wide as a single and can be used indoors or as an exercise stroller. they aren't cheap, but feel like it will last forever, has great resale, and can be a single stroller again in seconds. I do not take it in and out of the car a lot, though so I cannot speak to that aspect. check out the innovative design at www.phil&teds.com I first saw it in London on the street with a mom and asked her how she liked it and she raved. I got one and love it too.

i have 4 month old twins and have a Mountain Buggy. i am in LOVE with this stroller. it is 29in wide, i have yet to find a door i can't fit thru. it turns on a dime. the individual seats recline fully so you newborns can use it. there is an adaptor so you can fit one car seat on it. it collapses very easily. the front wheels can lock so you can take the stroller for a light jog. the basket underneath is great. it travels well. maximum weight capacity is 120lbs. i will use this until my kids are 4 years old. hopefully longer w/ more kids!

here are the cons: it weighs about 35 pounds, so it may be difficult to get into the back of the Suburban. (however, i had a hard time finding a stroller w/o plastic wheels that didn't weigh a lot). it has a water bottle holder, but it does not have a cup holder for coffee. (i am working on this and think there may be a universal cup holder that will work. this stroller is not cheap. depending on which model you get, it ranges from 550-800. plus accessories.

My sons are 22 months apart and I would not have traded my Peg Perego for anything! Both of my sons are tall (my youngest just turned two last week and he's 37 inches tall and my 3 1/2-year-old is 43 1/2 inches tall!) and they can still ride in it. We also have the Peg Perego single stroller. They are a bit pricey, but the quality is awesome. We've even been "off-roading" with them. ;-)

My son was 19 months when my youngest was born. We got the Baby Trend Sit'n'Stand. We got it at Target.com because the store was always out-couldn't keep them on their shelves. It is back to back. The sit'n'stand part has a saftey strap for when they stand and you can buckle them in when they sit. There is not a tray for the back child-but there are 2 drink holders on the parent bar that my 19 months old could reach w/o a problem. THe only possible draw back would be that the back seat does not recline, so no napping in the stroller. My eldest never napped in the stroller anyway, so it didn't matter to me. It is very light weight and easy to control. I had tried a Graco Duo Glide and loved it too, but it was really difficult to push when my 19 mo old was sitting in it. There was no leg room for him in the back and he was too heavy in the front.

I just had my second baby in December and recently purchased a Baby Trend Sit N Stand LX (I think that's what it's called, I know that the brand name is right at least). Anyways, it has a universal attachment for the carseat (and when you're not using the carseat, there's an attachment with a cupholder for the child sitting in front) and a place behind it for the second child (mine is 2 1/2 years old) to either sit OR stand up. My 2 year old LOVES it. I think it's very easy to maneuver, and it's a little heavy, heavier than a single, but what do you expect? And it folds up and opens easily. I have used it inside and out and I really like it. They sell it almost anywhere, but I got mine at Burlington Coat Factory for $119, which is the best price I could find. The only thing not so great is that it's difficult to get things in and out of the basket underneath; but on the up side, it has a cup holder for mom on the top that doesn't block your view of either child (I found this to be annoying on other strollers that we looked at). I LOVE the BOB Revolution Double Stroller. It is side by side, but still fits through all entryways. Check it out at www.bobtrailers.com. You can find them at quite a few retailers throughout the area and really good deals online as well!

I have twins & the stroller is the #1 thing I spent the most money on b/c I knew transporting them with our very active lifestyle would be a daily thing. I ordered on line (b/c the stores don't see them) a Peg Perego. This one has the car seats & the older child seats that lock in place after they get out of the infant car seats. The thing that makes this stroller stand out from the rest is the fact that the seats face each other. They also both face forward, both face backwards & both face outward. 4 seat positions & recline fully with the legs up.

There is no other stroller out there like this one. The "chassie" if you will is so simple to close. You pop of the seats with 2 fingers & close the stroller with one hand! The stroller is light weight. I have a Ford Escape (smaller than the Explorer & Expedition) & it folds up in the back of this nicely. Also the stroller has a lot of room at the bottom for storage. I use to take it grocery shopping & when the bottom was full, I knew it was time to check out. You know it's hard to find a store with baskets that buckle 2 kids in safely.

To help pay for such a nice stroller I asked my office friends for a money tree in lieu of gifts. I raised half the money. The stroller was free of taxes & Free shipping on the internet. This saved me $150-200. The total price was over $900 BUT I am still using it today & my kids are 2.5 yrs. old. We've used it over 600 times, I'm sure! The wheels still work great.

You can probably get yours cheaper b/c you won't need the 2 car seats. Good luck go to the Peg Perego website & you will be directed to the vendors who sell it. There are many styles, some cheaper. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BRAND.

Here is my two cents...the graco quattro tour duo is clunky, unruly and heavy not to mention it takes up your whole trunk! The tandem strollers are really a pain in the butt if you ask me. My sister had twins and quite honestly it was CRAZY! She always needed help getting the stroller in and out - a mess! So, when I had my second, I learned from her mistake! I tried EVERYTHING under the sun - I wanted something SUPER easy to fold and that was as small as a tandem stroller could be! I spent hours in the store trying them ALL out! (My DH could have killed me!) Finally, we came across the Combi Twin Savvy and I fell in love. You don't have to bend down to break it down and it tri folds so it is super compact! And it makes MUCH more sense long term. One of the BAD things about the tandem strollers when the baby gets older is that someone is getting kicked in the back! The seats on the Combi can lay all the way flat if need be. I know this was probably not your list, but I would seriously consider it. I love mine! A friend of mine with twins loved it so much that after she saw mine, she ditched her tandem Graco stroller and bought the Combi!

The BOB Revolution is FANTASTIC! It is a jogging stroller, however, I don't just use it for jogging. I use it EVERY DAY - literally!!! It is so easy to open and close. The wheels have quick release in case you need to put in in a smaller place. It moves so easy, you can push two kids with one finger - and zero effort. We had a double (front/back) and it was SO HARD to use. We got the BOB and our world changed. It even has an adapter to install for the infant carrier - and then when you're done with that, you can attach a cup holder tray on the bar. It is the best!

I take my daughter and the little girl that I babysit on field trips so i had to buy a Double Stroller. I bought it used but I love it. It is a Graco Duro Glide...it is easy to push even with one hand...although hard to turn ( but I think it would be with any double stroller). It is a back to back stroller and the girls are 20 months (32 lbs) and 15 months (20 lbs).

I have had a combi twin savy for 3 1/2 years. It is the easiest stroller & I wouldn't trade it for anything! My girls are now 3 1/2 & 5 1/2 and we still use it. The best thing about is its one of the lightest weight strollers out there and it has a 2 fold which makes it as small as a single when folded. My girls love that its side by side, and their weight difference has no bearing in the steering, you can push with 1 finger. I looked for a long time before I bought this stroller too and it is one of the few purchases I didn't see anything better since I bought it except they made improvements on them. I would rate this stroller 5*, we take our stoller everywhere(travel) with us because it soo easy manage.
