I am looking for a good, beginner volleyball program for my 9 year old daughter. Does anyone have information about the PSA and SVAA programs, or any others?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

I believe the YMCAs are starting to have beginner vball programs. My daughter played several seasons with SVAA. It was a great starting point, but by the time the girls are getting into seventh grade (and sometimes earlier), they're moving on to club volleyball. Check out http://www.ntrvolleyball.org/jrclubs.htm to get info about clubs in the area. If you live near Sportsplex, that is another great place to start. They have vball camps and training programs, as well as their own league that is less expensive than other club vball programs. It's a great sport; hope your daughter enjoys it!

We have been pretty happy with Allen Sports Association. The sign up for that is right now.

I understand that PSA has a pretty good program. Will she be a 4th grader or 5th grader this year?

I ask because in Middle School there are volleyball teams and she might get good practice through a PSA program.

Good luck

My daughter has been playing at PSA, this year will be her third. She loves it. I think PSA has an awesome program. Registration is going on right now. They have skills clinics, too, that are great. We haven't done Aquaducks, yet, but have heard great things about it from those who do.
