Hi E.!
I am looking too. I have kids the same ages as yours boy (three in a couple weeks) and girl (one next month).
A neighbor recomended a place around the corner THE CREATIVE CENTER FOR CHILDREN on Santa Monica Blvd. I am going to check it out and the ones from the response you got earlier. I would love to hear from you about anything you find that you like and I can do the same.
I am also looking for a dentist, music class (for the 3 yr old) and swim lessons.

Hi E. - I've been teaching for 18 years and love my school. We are in Culver City called My Friends' Montessori preschool coop. It is designed for stay at home moms and part time working moms. I started it for my own two daughters 8 years ago. Tuesday and Wednesday are drop off days from 9:30-12:30 and Thursday is a field trip where moms and younger siblings come too. It's a great program for 3 to 5 year olds and their moms. I use the best methods for developing young minds. Montessori is my training and I use it to teach the academic portion of the program...phonics/reading, pre-math, sorting classifying an more. I infuse it with lots of art, dance, sensori-motor, theme of the month, gardening, music (we have a set of percussion instruments for each child), performances, monthly parties and our field trips. It's what I think is the ideal program. I only take 8 children so everyone gets a great deal of attention. You can call or email me at ____@____.com or ###-###-####. I also have listings of other preschools in the area and can give you some help directing your search. Good luck! B. Wacker
