Seeking Playgroups near Modesto Area

I live in Turlock and don't mind the short drive! I have a 3 year old (on the 22nd!) and I'm pregnant with 2nd child (another boy) due Oct. 1st.. I, like another mom on here, don't have a whole lot of friends here, they're more my husbands friends- and none of them have their own children! After my 2nd child is born I will be a stay at home mom who will need adult conversation!!! Especially staying home we need as much adult time as our kids need the social interaction!!~ If you're interested in starting a playdate..group... whatever.. let me know!!

I realize you wrote this request some time ago, but if you are still interested, I too, would like to find a playgroup with some moms who share my standards and morals. I have 3 kids, 5 years, 3years, and 8 months. I know some other gals who might be interested, let me know

our boys are the same age!! i also just had my second baby boy, he is almost 6 weeks old, its crazy so get ready-it is soo hard for me to leave the house now i just get so overwhelmed so i dont know about playgroups but maybe our boys would get along!

There is a group of us from the Modesto area that schedules our playdates online at http://s10.invisionfree.com/modestoparents/index.php It's a little bit slow at the moment, but I expect it is going to pick up now that school is out. Several, but not all, have older children also in school.

I live in Modesto, but my son is almost seven. But I do have friends that I hang out with that have children between the ages of new born to seven. Maybe sometime when I am going to the park with one of the mothers that have younger children, we can meet up or something?
I understand how you feel though, I moved to Modesto in 1999, married in 2000, and most of the friends I have are those who where my husbands friends. There is nothing wrong with that though, especially since I feel that I have been friends with them for a long time. But it was difficult after we had our son because we were the first couple to have a baby out of all of our friends.
Well, maybe we can start something. I stay at home with my son during the summer, and go back to school in August when my son does. I know my son is almost seven, but like I said I know a few other mothers in the area. Not only that, maybe there will be other moms that will post, and we can get something started!
