Seeking Hairstylist (With Highlighting Expertise) Around the Round Rock Area

I am hoping all you ladies can sympathize with me and hopefully help me out....
I have finally come to the decision that I need to find a another hair stylist closer to home. I have been using the same stylist for over 8 years. She is the Lakeway area and I live in Round Rock and now with a very active 6 month old little boy at home, the commute just doesn't work for me anymore. Plus, she just told me that she is now only working 3 days a week which is going to make scheduling my appointments even more of a challenge. Anywho, I would love to find someone close to the Round Rock area that not only cuts and colors well but can serve as my sounding board because this is the only type of therapy I have right now...
I would love someone who is up to date with the latest hair styles so I can at least feel like I am playing the part of a young mom. Any referrals would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

A.,
I ADORE my hairdresser and she is also my therapist : ) She works out of her house so she can be the best mommy she can be. I have been going to her for the past 9 years. Just a few weeks ago, a woman approached me and asked who my hairdresser was and she said "she is a Genius!".... Well, my hairdresser is thinking about putting that on her business card...

First of all, I don't have my hair highlighted. That being said, my sister-in-law does and it turns out beautfiul. She goes to a place called "Miss Suzie's Salon" and has Tracy Clark do it. My S-I-L tells me that each sylist has her own room (not just a space or cubbie), so it's a perfect set up for a sounding board. According to my S-I-L, Tracy is probably in her early 40's and very "hip".
The address is 17 Galloping Road in Round Rock. It's right next to Round Rock Gardens and the post office on highway 79 (E Palm Valley Road just west of the 35).
Hope this helps.

Hello A.~

I can sympathize with you. I know of a hair stylist, Lisa D., that work at the JCPenny in Round Rock across from IKEA. She has been a hair stylist over 10 years and she specialize in many areas to do with hair. She is awesome!

Call Sarah at the Courtyard Salons. She is the best hairdresser I've ever had! She has made my thin, fine hair look like a thick and full head of hair. She does a cut, color and highlights on me about every 6 weeks. Sarah is a sweet and fun person, and she's young so she's up on the trends. I usually spend at least 2 hours in the chair, so she HAS TO be easy to talk to for me to spend that long with her.
