Northwood Church in Keller is wonderful and sounds just like what you're looking for. The pastor is great and my kids LOVE the children's program.
We moved to the Keller/N. Ft. Worth area this summer. We are looking for a great Bible based church, with a great kids program and other programs for our family. Would like a church that is upbeat and enriching, with a contemporary style of worship. We have visited a few churches in the area. Still looking for the right one.

Hello B.,
I belong to Lakeside Presbyterian Church and we are in the final stages of completing a brand new building in Southlake on 1709 (Southlake Blvd). We are currently meeting at the White Wedding Chapel on Precinct Line Rd in North Richland Hills but are hopeful to begin our worship service at the new place within the next couple of weeks. I teach Kids Connection which is a children's program for ages 3 through Kindergarten. The kids stay for the singing, prayer time, offering, etc. They then go to Kids Connection during the sermon. We also have Sunday school for both the parents and kids that starts this next Sunday (we've been on Summer break from Sunday school). Check out our website:

Hope to see you there : )

Hi B.,
We have been attending the Met Church on Keller Parkway for over 5 1/2 years. I was raised Catholic and wanted to go somewhere more bible based yet contemporary and with an awesome kids program. We wanted something that was medium sized that we could grow with. If you haven't checked it out you really should. When I read your request I just felt compelled to tell you. The pastor is amazing and the music will move you in ways you could not imagine. The people are friendly and the women's ministry is awesome but honestly, the best part for us is the kids programs. It is always such a pleasure to pick up our son from his kindergarten room and hear all about what he learned. Check it out at www.metchurch.com and you can even listen to the most recent messages online. Dynamic, moving, touching and motivating! Good luck in your search for your church family.
Dear B.,
I know you have gotten many recommendations, but I had to tell you about Wellspring Church in North Richland Hills. Its on the north side of Fort Worth, at the corner of Smithfield and Starnes. Its a growing church with great contemporary music and worship, awesome Bible teaching (our pastor used to be a professor at Dallas Theological Seminary--before he discovered the Holy Spirit), and great children's programs at all ages.
The focus of our church is 1)friendship with God, 2)love and acceptance of one another (not acceptance of sin, but acceptance that all of us are on a journey and have something in our lives that we want to be free from). We also have a strong focus on the prophetic ministry and on worship.
If this sounds like something you're looking for, please come and visit us. If you want me to meet you outside before the service, I'll be glad to. You can email me directly at ____@____.com to set a time.
Blessings on you as you search for where God wants you to be.

We just moved from that area and we attended Heritage Church of Christ on Heritage Trace Pkwy. It is a great place with a wonderful staff. It has a great children's program and has wonderful small groups for fellowship. We are very sad that we have moved an hour away and just can't make the drive anymore, we really made some great friends and the members were so kind and helpful during our family's times of need. We also visited Keystone which is more contemporary but had lots of young families and a really fun "camp keystone" program for the kids. We prefer a more conservative style church so it was not for us but you may want to check it out. Good luck finding a church that is perfect for your family!
I highly recommend our church family. Check out www.cityviewchurch.net. In fact, if you'd like to meet some of the people, we're having a picnic today from 10-12 at Bear Creek Park. (From 1709 head South on 377. Turn left on Bear Creek Pkwy and then the park will be on your right.) Please message me if you have further questions.
New Life Fellowship hands down! Its on 377 (Denton Hwy) Just past Khols (on the same side of the road). I love love love it there! If you like a place thats a bit smaller but everyone knoes your name and truly cares about you this is the place. The paster is Bradon and asst pastor Nathan. Both have kiddos and the church is family based w/. thinga always going on for the kids. They truly belive it is important for the kids to have a solid back ground in the church. My daughter loves it and always asks is it church day? Check them out sometime or the website is newlife-fellowship.org
check out GraceCommunityChurch.com It's a foursquare chruch in Southlake, but not so far from Keller. We love it and have been there for 15 years! HTey have a great kids program, in fact the kids lock in is in a couple weeks. All kinds of stuff to get plugged into for families. Hope to meet you in person B.,

We attend Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth it is off o I-30 and Montgomery. I know it is a little ways about a 20 minute drive from N. FTW, but well worth the drive. We tried to find a church closer and visited almost every church listed on the e-mail you received. None of them seemed to be a perfect match for us. We love Christ Chapel and cannot say enough about all them members. We are in a small group with couples who have children which is a wonderful way to meet new people. The children's ministry is AWESOME!! We love it and my daughter who is 2 loves it. Dr. Ted Kitchens is a wonderful pastor. If you would like to listed to him you can go to the website www.ccbcfamily.org. I really wish you the best in finding the right church I know it can be a very hard decision.
We attend CrossTimbers Community church and love it. They have a location in Keller and Argyle. Their website is www.crosstimberschurch.org.
We love Fellowship Of The Parks!
We have an almost 4 year old daughter and 5 year old son and have felt so welcomed there! They are biblically based, Pastor Doug frequently tells the congregation to verify what he's saying with the bible. The worship music is contemporary and upbeat - the worship leader actually just released a new cd. You can check it out and get an idea of the music style at the church on his website.

The children's ministry is expanding. Kids Inc opens in two weeks. They are adding an older three's room, a young four's room, and a new class for kindergarten and first grade. This is in addition to all of the current children's ministry offerings (birth - high school).
FOTP also offers lifegroups; small group worship that gets together weekly to study, worship, and fellowship together. The new lifegroup semester is starting now, so it's a great time to get involved. You don't have to be a member and it's a wonderful way to get to know people in the church.
Please come visit us! If you do, stop by the Playing Field (1st - 4th grade) before or after 2nd service and say hello! My name is A. and I coach second grade girls in the Playing Field during second service.
We have been attending Northwood Church (Rufe Snow and North Tarrant Pkwy) for three years now and finally joined. It is a wonderful, enriching environment. We have joined a small group where the parents meet while the kids are in childcare. I am in their MOPS group for the first time this year, as I have a one-yr-old. It's a wonderful group for SAHM with pre-schoolers. They also have a home-schooling co-op for families who go that route.
Feel free to email me with more specific questions. What we love the most about our church is the outstanding leadership, many ways to get involved, great kids programs, and incredible mission outreach.
I hope you get a chance to visit.
We've been attending Northwood Church (North Tarrant Pkwy & Rufe Snow) for about 2 months now and we LOVE it! My son who is 3.5 loves it too as does my 12 year old stepson. My husband and I are actually going to be teaching 1st & 2nd graders starting this Wed. night for their weekly program, T-Kids....which they also have for our younger kiddos. The worship is very upbeat and contemporary...the crowd is young and old and everything in between. We attend the 10:15 service on Sundays - if you go, let me know and we can meet up! :)
Please try this church before you stick with one!! I promise you will be amazed! http://www.hillsidecommunitychurch.org/site/default.asp?s...
Hillside Community church is on Ray White, close to Central High School in Keller, and 2 blocks away from Denton Hwy. (Hwy. 377).
We have been going there for the past 2 1/2 years, and we love it and reccomend it to everyone we know. It is non-denominational. I was brought up Methodist, but I definetly beleive in this church today.
Great chidren's programs too by the way!
The services are contemporary and casual in style with a broad use of the Arts. They are committed to bold and relevant bible teaching, genuine worship, loving care for one another and have a heart that beats fast for those who do not know God personally.
We go to Grace Community Church. This is an awesome spirit filled family of believers. Great childrens' programs. Wonderful and supportive place to worship.
I beleive Northwood Church is somewhere you may want to look at. They are on the corner of Rufe Snow and N Tarrant Pkwy. Our children attended a summer program there last summer and it sound slike what you are looking for.
i just started going to Fellowship of the Parks in Keller off Beach street... i LOVE it! and i have a 11 month old that i felt safe leaving in the care while i attend service. they have a webpage if you want more info. great church, has three services and tons of classes for bible study etc.

We go to Fellowship Church in Grapevine. www.fellowshipchurch.com I live 40 minutes away from it but its worth the drive! Great children's program!!!
All of the ones suggested in the previous replies are good ones with the qualities you are looking for. Find one that is close enough to your home that you will be able to attend easily and get to quickly and one that has people in your neighborhood you can connect with. Get connected through a Sunday Class or Small group. Just jump in -- don't wait too long to join and serve. A couple of other churches -- Highland Meadows Christian Church (hmcc.org) on Pool Rd at Hall Johnson Rd. and Irving Bible Church www.irvingbible.org (not too far from Fellowship)
We love Fellowship Church, great programs for children. Check it out www.fellowshipchurch.com you can watch the a service online and see what you think. Our pastor is also on tv his name is Ed Young.
You never said what religion you are. If you are still looking for a church take a drive on Willis Lane in Keller and see what those churches have to offer. We belong to S.E.A.S. and love it there. My three kids will sit through the service with no problems! They also have an area for children to worship and learn, a wonderful school and great events. Great luck in your search!!!
Hi B.,
we go to Abundant Life in Grapevine. It is just past the bridge that goes over 114 on 1709. We have gone there for the past 4 years and love it. From the first day, we knew we were home. We have a wonderful childrens ministry. The church is a good size - not too big that it is hard to meet someone and not too small where there is not a lot of variety. We are very much bible based and do have a contemporary style of worship.
Sunday school starts at 9:15 and our service starts at 10:15. We have Sunday night service once a month and 2 Sundays a month you have the option of meeting with smaller care groups - childcare is provided.
Here is our website if you are interested: www.abundantlifegrapevine.com

If you like rock/worship and messages with a modern day presentation then Fellowship may be the perfect place for you. The children’s ministry is amazing! Your children will probably drag YOU to church. There are several churches in the Keller/North Fort Worth area that are similar, we tried them but they all felt like the exact messages we had heard originally at Fellowship. I can not say anything about the children’s programs at any of the local churches as we never got involved with them. At Fellowship we do take an active roll in the Children’s church so I can say that it is exceptional.
Gateway is another church that friends and family go to and it is an amazing church as well. From what family has said the praise music is not as rock or contemporary, but the messages I have heard are great, presented more traditionally as compared to Fellowship. Again from people we know it sounds like they have a good children’s program, but I can not say from first hand knowledge. Gateway has a lot more free Bible study and topical events that are wonderful, where Fellowship can get pricy at times for the classes. Pray about it and God will open your heart to the church that is perfect for you and your family.
B. you should try Harvest Church on 377 at the intersection of Basswood Blvd. It is everything that you said that you were looking for! Contemporary, uplifting worship service, great children's ministry, and completely Bible based! I hope this helps! God Bless, J.
Have you tried LifePoint United Methodist Church (www.lifepointumc.com)? It was founded in January 2006 and meets inside the "cafetorium" of Keller Intermediate School on New Bursey off of Denton Hwy/377. Awesome contemporary band and wonderful pastor. The kids program is growing, as is the church. Hope this helps!
What about Gateway Church in Southlake? It is very upbeat, great contemporary worship, wonderful sermons, TONS of different groups/programs, and a wonderful kids program to boot. You can even watch/listen to the past sermons on their website for free; www.gatewaypeople.com
I started going to our church since I was 16. I went to it in Orlando Fl and when I moved here I looked them up. Its called the DFW church, not a fancy name but a true home for me. I call it home because there's all nationalities here, no fakeness, the sermons are just what your heart needs. Extremely family oriented. We just had a great sermon yesterday regarding everything people worry about and not focus on God. Any ways I can go on and on. IF you want to visit we are meeting next sunday at the Hilton hotel on lamar in arlington. Its worth the drive. The church is huge and we have an actual bldg in carrolton. But to reduce price and make it smaller we meet at hotel. IF you would like to visit please do contactme thru email. I think our website is www.dfwchurch.org.
I was wondering if you have tried Gateway Church. We attend there and we absolutely love it. We just moved here from Wichita Falls and had our first baby. She is only about a week and a half old so we have not been able to go to church yet since we had her and we miss it so much. We will start back when she is at least a month or so old. We really like Gateway because of the pastor. Robert Morris is very down to earth and genuine. He seems so passionate and real. The worship at Gateway is incredible. We obviously are just now going to check out the children's area since we just had a baby, but we have several friends that rave about the children's activities and they say the nursery is awesome. Gateway pays very close attention to details especially when it comes to kids and families. Anyways, I hope this helps and if you have by chance tried Gateway and it wasn't for you I will be praying that you find just the right church for you and your little one. Take care and good luck!
Oh...sorry, in case you don't know where Gateway is located it is on Southlake Blvd. in Southlake. If you want to check out their website it is gatewaypeople.com
May I suggest Fellowship of the Parks? I attend church there and it sounds exactly like what you described that you are looking for. Great kids area/classes, even Mothers' Day out/preschool twice a week, contemporary upbeat music. Three services to choose from: 9, 10:15 or 11:30.
