I have used Dr. Trone for my whole family for at least 5 years. A few years back my daughter kept running extremely high fevers, shooting up to 104.5, and those fevers did not respond to motrin etc. The pediatrician kept saying, Oh it must be a virus, nothing we can do...Dr. Trone made time to see her and instantly put her in the hospital. he ran the tests necessary to find the problem, and found an infection in her adenoids. He removed the tonsils and adenoids and she was dancing down the hallway the next day. A few months later, during busy season, I discovered a large lump on my throat near the thyroid gland. Dr. Trone made time to see me, and diagnosed the problem just by looking at me. He put me in the hospital and removed the lump, which had grown as large as a golf ball - this while my second set of twins were just three months old. I healed quickly. Dr. Trone and his staff are caring, competent, and they keep up to date on the latest techniques. My second twin was having some behavior problems at school and Dr. Trone referred me to some recent studies linking her very large tonsils (causing sleep problems) and her behavior issues. He removed the tonsils, she healed very quickly, and her behavior issues are 90% better! So, I have only wonderful things to say about Dr. Trone. Of course, the other guys could be good, but I have no personal experience. Good luck. I do have occasional migraines, not very often, and Dr. Trone has prescribed some meds for me and explained what I need to do if I see one coming on - so he certainly is up to date on that problem, too.

I highly recommned Dr Trone, my 2 year old was sick for about a year and our pulmonary dr recommend that we go and see Dr Trone and he made the time to get us in that day and did the required testing to diagnose what was wrong with our baby, he took the time everyday to call or come by the hospital while we were in the there and even gave me his personal number to call him if I needed anything. He was great with my son and took the time that was needed to figure out what was going on.

My 5yr old daughter had her tonsils and adnoids removed, plus put tubes in her ears by Dr Gamble last year. He has great bedside manners, explained the whole process and came out immediately after surgery to give us an update. His staff has always been very friendly and great with kids. The nurses call you back promptly when having a question. The only negative is that you tend to wait a lot when going for a follow up visit.
