I would love to learn (or rather re-learn)French with my three year old daughter. Does anyone know of classes where both mom and child can learn together?
Merci Beaucoup!

Hi J.,

Have you ever thought of hosting a French foreign exchange student. These kids arrive in August and need a place to live for a school year. He/she would go to school during the day, but would be a part of the family at night. It might be a win-win situation as the student could provide daily conversation as well as be available to help around the house and be a friend to the family. If you want more info, just e-mail back.

Hi, J.-

My name is L. and I have a 2 1/2 year old boy. I know that there's a french academy in Encino. It's not a mommy and me but it does offer french camp for toddler's. This is just info a friend gave to me as I too was looking for somewhere to start exposing my son to French. I would love to know if you find something .

A Bien tot-

I just started a mommy and me class at the Alliance Francaise in Westwood. They are on the corner of Beverly Glen and Santa Monica. Check out their website. www.afdela.org

Bonne Chance!

Try the Alliance Française de Los Angeles. I took mommy & me french classes with my daughter there when she was 1 1/2 to 3. The classes for older kids might not include the parents, but call them because I think there willing to start new classes if people are interested. If you need to start a new mini-group and need more people, let me know. My daughter is almost 5 now and she's forgotten almost everything and I'd love to get it back in her head.

Try Hooked On Phonics French cd's. They make it fun and easy for kids to learn French and you can do it at home if you have a PC. It's great for mom's too.
