School Notification Systems?

I'm working with my son's school to try to set up a school notification system (ie, some type of automated calling system to notify parents of all types of school-related happenings, both emergency and non-emergency). If you know of any, please let me know. Or if you know your school district uses one, but you don't know the name, please let me know the name of the district so I can follow-up. Thanks!

Are you talking about the automated systems that call the homes of families in the district?

Keep in mind that these services are EXPENSIVE and should be used in emergencies only. When I say expensive, I mean close to or upwards of $25,000 PER CALL-OUT (i.e. one snow day) for a school district of 4000 students.

I definitely support the use of automated call-outs for emergencies, but if the basketball game gets cancelled a phone tree is more taxpayer sensitive.

Our school district uses the automated system in case of emergencies, school closings, etc. We are in Arlington Heights District 25 and their main number is ###-###-####. Good luck!
