Of course its doable- many of us do it everyday and our children survive, even thrive! The fact that you are in education is a plus- you'll get summers off, right?
Just wanted to hear from some working moms out there that it is do-able. I worked until my oldest was 2.5 but now have been home for nearly 3 years. Worked as a school administrator and loved it - planning a return in 2014 (school-year calendar)...lots of factors, including that I think it would be good for me to get out and do my own thing away from the kids, but also that hubby is miserable in his job and it's sort of his turn to take it easy (or at least change the stressors from work to kids) for awhile...me being home indefinitely has never been part of the plan, but yet I am feeling worried about the potential return, job search, etc....we may even end up relocating as we're in a more $$ neighborhood (apartment) far from family right now. Ack!

With this situation being a year away I'd shelve it for now. So much can change. Decide when you need to start turning in apps and remind yourself that tomorrow's anothrt day and consciously think about something else.
I'm guessing you wouldn't move until you actally found a job. Or do you want to move before then and look for a job there? If so, make a plan for how to do that.
Actually it might help to brainstorm and make a plan now. List your goals and the steps you need to take to reach them. Then make a timeline. Once you have a more specific plan you'll feel less anxious.
Many many many mom's on this site work every day and never got to take off and stay home. So it's obviously doable. It just takes you deciding to go do it.
This is an exciting time for you and your family and of course it is doable. Women and men do it all the time. Congrats on the job!
