Wow. You are a super Mom! I don't know anything about what you are going through with your son. I just wanted to say God Bless your family.
I just found out that my son, Nicholas is going to have reimplantation surgery. In March of this year we were in the hospital for 5 day because he had a 105.4 temp. We found out that he had a UTI and pylonephritis (kidney infection). While were there they did a test to watch his urinary tract. We found out he had reflux on both ureters. We had deflux injection in May and we found out Tuesday that it did not work. I love Dr. Noe the urologist, I'm just worried about how Nicholas is actually going to feel after the surgery. Dr. Noe said we would be in the hospital for at least 3 or days. Has anyone else had the surgery? If so, how did everything turn out. I will be gald when it's over. Nicholas has been on Septra since March and he's really tired out. Please give me any advice you might have.

I don't have any advice. I have never been through anything like that so I can't imagine how you feel. I just wanted to say I am so sorry that you and the little one have to go through that.
Good luck and I will say a prayer for you.

My daughter had that surgery when she was 3 and she is now 6 and is having no problems. She also had DR NOE and he is great. I am sorry to say that your son will be in alot of pain for about a week or more. He will have very bad stomach cramps. It is hard to watch your kid in so much pain and not able to do anything about it. But it is all worth it because you will not have to worry about kidney infection no more. If you need anything else just let me know.
I, too, do not know what you are going through but I just wanted to offer some words of support. Know that many of us moms are out there praying for your son's recovery... and you and the rest of your family. May God continue to watch over and guide you!
my son also has kidney problems ( reflux) and on septra thankfully he hasn't had the need for surgury yet but i've heard it is painful. has your dr. checked to see if he might have horseshoe kidneys? i wish you good luck.
