My hubby and I were just talking about vitamins. He takes his in the morning time, because he says its active when he is. I like to take mine at night because I like to think it absorbs while I sleep.

So ladies, answer me this:

When is better to take your vitamins, morning? or night?

Thanks!

Personally, whenever you will remember.

It's kind of like that question, "what's the best exercise?"

Actually, with your most balanced meal of the day is probably preferable, because some vitamins need co-factors found in foods, or fats or certain minerals, to be metabolized most efficiently.

I have heard it is best to take half in the morning and half at night, both with your meal or with food to get the best absorption.

I think it is better to take your vitamins throughout the day. B-Complex (not always but usually) keeps people awake if they take after 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon. You must always take your vitamins with food because it works so much better. There is very few vitamins that work well without food.

The important thing is to take good quality vitamins (not from the grocery store) because you just waste money taking "fake" vitamins that are not made from foods. Your body must assimilate them and only the ones that are not made in the laboratory will assimilate in your body. In other words get the ones that are made from food.

My doc says to take them in the morning because some vitamins are natural stimulants and some just get certain things (such as your metabolism) re-started.

Actually you should take it both morning and evening so the nutrients stay level in your body. Absorption should be dependent on the vitamin and not your body or the time of day.(Your body only plays a part if it's NOT allowing it to absorb because of your digestive system.) Most don't absorb (and that can cause free radical activity) so make sure yours is...I actually take one that is guaranteed to absorb.

Hope this helps!

The uptake of vitamins begins with the endocrine system. They get going about 8 am and it's one per hour after that putting out their hormones.
I'm sure you can find it exactly on line same as the Chinese system of organs and hours.
