We have had a waterbed for along time. My husband suddenly these last few months, is having alot of problems sleeping on the waterbed. I can sleep on it when he not in the bed but when we both are its uncomfortable. We tried everything, and think our bodies have just changed. He likes alittle harder, and I like very, very soft. So finding a mattress will be very difficult. Any reccommenations without spending a fortune. I don't know much about regualr mattresses except I remember them being hard. I have slept on a waterbed since I was 15.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. We aren't getting any sleep.

What can I do next?

Sleep number bed...i think they might be a little expensive but you can adjust your side to how you like it and he can adjust his side...not sure if that helps...but i certianly hope it does!!!

My husband likes the bed much firmer than me, but I just didn't like the sleep number beds we tried - and they were a fortune!!
We found a good compromise with an Ikea mattress. They're made differently, firm yet not too firm, and we both love it! They're also pretty reasonably priced and have several to choose from.

Have you looked into that sleep number bed? I really haven't heard anything good or bad about them, but it's the only mattress I can think of that allows you both to set your own comfort level. He can have his side hard and you can have your side soft.

sounds like you need a sleep number bed. My MIL had troubles staying in bed for the same reason your DH does... my FIL liked bed firm, she soft... so she'd fall asleep there and wind up on a very soft couch before too long. They got the sleep number bed, he's got his side set firm, hers is soft and she said she's never slept better.... a good night's sleep is worth a pretty penny if you ask me! Just because you've always done something (i.e. slept on a water bed) doesn't mean that it'll be right for ya forever... I had one for a long time as a kid too but I think i'd got nuts on one now...
