I have spent too much money on a top of the line mattress that is too soft. Now I need to know from someone a mattress that they like that is not too hard or too soft. Any suggestions?

You could try the Sterns and Foster Pillow Wave (Not the pillow top). It is like sleeping on a cloud, yet not to saggy and soft. In other words perfect. I have never had a better nights sleep. Good luck!!!!

We just got a Spring Air Back Supporter. It is nice and firm, but it is very soft as well. We just love it!

Costco sells the great foam ones for the same price as a regular mattress..if you buy it online they will deliver it to your door...it is very heavy.

We went to Bob Mills. We bought a pretty pricey mattress but not top of the line. The only reason I mention Bob Mills is because if you also buy a mattress cover ($90) then you have 3 months with your mattress to decide. If you dont like it you can trade it back for a different one. It is the only mattress return policy I have ever heard of.

We have had our sleep number bed for 7 years now and I would not trade it for a million bucks! They are pricey, but they are guaranteed for 20 years! The thing I love most about it is that it can change as your body changes. When we first got it I had my side soft then I got pregnant and needed more support so I adjusted it to firmer. Anytime I've been doing anything strenous I just adjust it a little firmer for a couple of nights and my back feels much better. My husband's side has be hard as a rock from day one, but that's okay because it doesn't effect me! It's the best!

We actually just bought a new mattress set the day after Thanksgiving from Roomstore. Our old mattress was only a year and a half old and was great when we first got it, but it was cheap and soon very uncomfortable. I thought it was just me because I'm pregnant, but my hubby agreed. We paid a little more than we wanted for the new mattress...about $800...but it's great! We love it! I think it's a Sealy Posturepedic Cushion Firm. It's firm, but it also has the cushion on the top to give it that softness. The only thing that's taking some getting used to is the fact that it's thicker/higher. Oh, and Roomstore delivered it for free within 2 days.

You should have some sort of warranty if you have a top of the line. My mom had a top of the line and they hated it. The mattress had an indention where they were sleeping within a couple of months. It happened that it was a warranty issue and they got a new mattress. Same issue with a neighbor.

Check out the warranty. You should be able to get it fixed.

My husband likes a very firm bed and I like a soft one and the only mattress we were able to agree on is a Tempurpedic. It takes some getting used to, but we have really enjoyed ours.

Select Comfort, The Sleep Number Bed.... we've had ours for about 8 years and still LOVE IT, you can adjust both sides of our king size bed from super soft to super hard or anywhere in between, it was pricy $2000 for the box and mattress, but well worth it if you have back problems. Its very easy to adjust, each side has a control and an air pump..... we bought ours at the sleep number store, but I think a lot of the mattress stores are carrying these now and hopefully they have gone down in price. GOOD LUCK!!
