Yes with my last cjild I had one for 4mothns into my pregnacy. Everything trun out okay with the baby. I'ts just a way of life for some of us with having baby's.
Ok moms, we are trying to conceive and I am having a very early and strange period (very light). One of my friends told me that she had two periods similar to the one I'm having with her first pregnancy. Have any of you experienced anything similar? What does it mean? Should I call my OBGYN? Thanks!
Ok, sorry! It was a false alarm. I took a pregnancy test which turned out to be negative and called the Dr. who said everything sounded fine. I guess I just wish I was pregnant. Plus this is the 11th day of this crazy "light" period...what gives?!

This is normal. It happened to me too, very early on in pregnancy. It is probably the implantation that is happening, thus giving you a very light "period."
If it's a pink color that's mixed with clear, stretchy cervical fluid and this is occurring around mid-cycle this is actually a sign of high fertility and you should be babydancing right now. If this is occurring around the 19th-20th day of your cycle (assuming that you have a 28 day cycle and you ovulate on the 14th) it could be a sign of implantation. If it's during your regular time that you should start your period, then it's either just a very light period, or you're just one of the women that spot a little at the beginning of her pregnancy. Have you taken a test yet? If it's positive, you should see your OBGYN immediately to make sure your blood hCG and progesterone levels are up enough to sustain a pregnancy-just to be sure. Good luck! And bless you and your soon to be growing family! Hope this helped!
You should definitely call your OBGYN. Have your doctor check your progesterone level. If you are low they can give you a supplement. Your body will use what it needs and eliminate what it doesn't. It could make the difference between keeping this baby or losing it.
I had a period until I was 5 mos prey with my 5th child. Needless to say he was a surprise baby. But I learned that I had a low lying placenta (placenta previa) and that is what caused the bleeding. The only major issue that we saw was that I might have to deliver with a C-section. The rest of the diagnosis was very positive and eventually the Placenta moved up and I had our 4th son naturally. I would suggest speaking to your OB/Gyn about ASAP. Your mental well-being and your child deserve it.
I had a very light period after I conceived (and, because of that, I didn't figure out I was pregnant until later). After talking with other moms, I've found that a light bleed near your time for your period isn't uncommon after becoming pregnant. Hope your bleeding means good news!
I had a very light spotty "period" a month into my pregnancy. So i didnt take the test until after the next "missed" month. Positive home test and was 12 weeks by the time i got to the dr's. so take a test and see.
It could be implantation bleeding - when the egg implants into the uterian wall, it can cause a little bleeding. Not enough to fill a pad, but enough to see. If that's all it is, it's probably no big deal, if it's more, it may be. I'd call the OB to check.
It is actually normal to have a very, very light bleeding and cramping right when the egg implants itself in the womb. It happened to me and then I tested over the weekend and I was already 4 weeks pregnant or so. I read a few books and learned about the implantation cycle and it all made sense.
Hi L.! Isn't it unnerving?! I actually bled (not that heavy, but enough) for the first trimester. Some say it was implantation bleeding. I was thinking by the time it stopped that he was going to be "implanted" forever because of how long it lasted! Ha!
I would call your OB just to be safe, but it is probably OK. Good luck to you!!!
I had a period with my second one. Just watch it and call your OB. Your OB may want you to come in for blood work, or may just tell you to wait and see how next month looks.
Hi L.,
Congratulations on your pregnancy. I come from a very large family & several of us have had our periods for the first few months & one every month for her entire 9 Months.
We have had very healthy babies but the majority of us who experienced this had twins not just a healthy one. I would suggest calling your OBGYN just to check things out & make sure everything is alright. I'm sure it is but you want to take care of yourself as well as that little angel thats on it way. Or Two, lol... Just be careful & have a blessed life.
I had spotting for a 3-5 days around 8 weeks when I was pg and it definitely bothered me, but I understand it's normal and I'm a foot away right now from my nearly 2 year old daughter (so all turned out fine). Always call your dr when in doubt though. She'll probably tell you all is fine or ask you to come in for an u/s just to be sure all is fine. Happy pregnancy!
I was trying to conceive, had a + test then started spotting a few days later, very early in my pregnancy. I spotted throughout my entire first trimester with my first child. It was really like a light period. I was put on bedrest and stayed there until I stopped bleeding for 24 hours. THen I was clear to get up and resume activity and then would start spotting again. THis went on until about 12 weeks. I would go in for a vaginal sonogram each time it started. Many times I was convinced I was miscarrying. I have a happy, healthy 9 year old boy from that crazy pregnancy. I suggest you take it easy and call your dr. ASAP!
L.,
I had the same kind of period with my first pregancy and even took a pregancy test that came out negative. When I finally went to the doctor I was two months pregant. I only had one period that first month and the doctor was not concerned. Good luck. If you are worried, I would go ahead and check with your doctor.

I had the same thing when I was pregnant with my son. I had a very light, very short period. I was always very regular, so I knew something was up when I had a 2 day period that was very light. Sure enough, 4 weeks later, I took a positive pregnancy test. Apparently, I had gotten pregnant, but still had a light period about a week or two after conception.
Hey L. I also had two very similar periods while pregnant with my DD. And she is perfect.(I know...all Moms say that) If you're worried I think you should call your Dr. just because stress isn't good at all while you're pregnant. I hope it all turns out good. Oh and a big congrats on your pregnancy!!!! S.
it could just be implantation bleeding which is normal if you are just recently pregnant...you can google it:)
There is something called implantation bleeding. When we were trying to get pregnant with our first child I had what I thought was a light period... later after we got pregnant and I have my first doctor's appointment (to confirm) we were about 4 weeks further along than we thought and the "bleeding" I thought was a period must have been the first sign that I was prego, I just didn't know it.
i had a period that was "normal" only to find out that while I was out shopping, had extreme pain and ended up in the ER with an etopic pregancy, that was begininng to rupture..found out that I was 6 week pregant at the time..eventhough I had a normal period. I have heard of woman that have has periods especially for the first month or two. good luck to you!
