I have a strange question. My 3 year old daughter has been using the potty for about a month now. Within the last week for some reason when she pees it goes everywhere but IN the toilet (even though she is sitting on it) How do I correct this? I really don't want to have to scrub the bathroom every time she uses it. lol

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you for all the suggestions. We tried asking her to sit tall and close her legs and it worked sometimes. I am not sure what happened but my 10 year old niece took her to the bathroom the whole weekend she stayed and by the end she wasn't going on the floor anymore. lol

If your daughter is using the big toliet and not the little potty training ones, what I told my daughter to do is sit back a little bit and lean forward. This way she was aiming down. My daughter had the same problem! Hope this helps!

I had the same problem with my 2 year old. I just scooted her back farther on the potty chair and told her to keep her legs together. That seemed to work for me. And there are potty chairs that have pieces that fit in the front to keep them from having an accident.

My daughter was the same way, she seemed to go through the seat and either on the floor or in her panties. We found if she sat facing the back we didn't have the problem. I have the cutest pic of her sitting on the potty backwards. One time I walked in on her standing on a stool going, like a boy, and she did hit the toilet, that was when we tried the sitting backwards. Good luck:)Sue

This happened a couple of times with my daughter too. I had to tell her to make sure she is sitting up straight and to keep her legs together. That totally took care of our problem. Hope this helps!

Hi S., Your daughter needs to lean forward just a little. Have her open her legs and grab the front of the toilet/potty. OR, I also used to have my daughter put her elbows on her knees. This will keep your floors clean. Good luck! Happy training!

S.,
I actually had this problem with my daughter also. Make sure she keeps her legs closed when she is going potty. I noticed that my daughter wasn't completely closing her legs and therefor her pee was going EVERY WHERE. That's the only thing I can think of, it's worth a look to make sure she has them closed.
I have a 3 year old and a 15 month old, both little girls. That is crazy how close in age both of our children are. Anyway, have a great day!

Whenever a person doesn't sit up straight it bring their pelvis up and forward. Gotta make sure that she is sitting straight up, legs together. :) Sometimes my daughter would try to watch herself go and that would happen everytime! :)
