Parenting magazine for articles on parent/child issues and solutions. Family Fun for craft, vacation, and creative solutions to everyday situations.
My husband and I Are new parents to a three year old boy. We have a lot of books, but sometimes have just a few moments to look at an interesting, educational article. I like a magazine because we can read the same article, and discuss. Hubbie is less likely to read a book. Please tell me which magazines you like best, and why.
Thanks1

I like Mothering Magazine - thorough articles based on research.
It's all about MOTHERING magazine! Definitely the best I have ever come across! They are eco friendly!
I've subscribed to Parents magazine for 7 years now. Think someone gave it to me a a gift when I was preggers w/our first son. I really like it....helpful aritcles, funny stories, great recipes, craft ideas & year-by-year info on kids.
I love Mothering Magazine (www.mothering.com). It is a natural family living magazine with well researched articles about everything from pregnancy to child development to eating well to alternative health choices.
Dear Sharon:
Congratulations on your new son. Parenting is the most wonderful thing in the world.
I would reccomend Parenting Magazine and Parents Magazine. They are both great, full of useful information, and great to occasionally pull out articles and keep for the future.
My husband reads them too and really finds them fun and interesting.
We also love Family Fun magazine which is produced by Disney. They have fantastic seasonal craft ideas, economical family vacation ideas and all sorts of other information.
Locally I would suggest subscribing to Parents Press. It is a monthly newspaper for the Bay Area that has tons of information about Physicians, schools, locan activities etc...
Hope this helps.

"mothering" is a great magazine. it presents a different point of view than you would normally find in something like parenting or cookie. it's extremely progressive. i don't always agree with them but i think they have thought provoking articles around things like vaccines, what kinds of toys we buy, gender bias, etc.
Congrats on the new member of your family.
Parents is a good magazine but I've recently gotten hooked on Wonder Time. It has lots of information on encouraging your chlids educational development with a slant toward eco-friendly options.
I subscribed to Mothering Magazine out of Canada. It's a great alternative to all the "mainstream" choices. I found it very informative and helpful. Good luck. D. Parker, L.Ac.
My favorite magazine, hands down, is Family Fun Magazine. It is not so much of a parenting magazine as it is a source for creative things you can do with your child, and together as a family. I loved it so much I could never throw an issue out! Info is also avalilable online, can't remember the page, just do a search for Family Fun. My kids are older now but I'd still pick up an issue from time to time and create some fun by myself! Enjoy!
