I am wondering if any of you know or would be interested in seeking a playmate for my 3 yr old son?? I am not ready to send him to preschool yet. And the preschool I want to send him to has a waiting list. He is always asking me to play with him and I am usually too busy doing house stuff or taking care of his younger sister to satisfy his hunger. He is all boy but has a big heart. He loves pirates, cars, toy story and super heroes. We are a non-LDS, open-minded, environmentally friendly family and have had a hard time finding someone like minded. If you are interested in setting up a play date once a week or know of a play group that would work, I would love to hear from you. Thanks!!

Just wanted to jump in with a little advice. I was the same as you with my boys-they always wanted to play and I would put them off b/c there was so much housework to do and I really didn't get how to play like a boy with them. My boys are in school full time now and my house is finally neat but boy do I MISS them and I cry for the times that I wasn't available to play with them....never again will I be asked to "please play Thomas! Please Mommy!" The toys are all gone now- replaced with video games and sports - and they don't ask me to play anymore. So I guess what I am saying to you is to try to make time once in a while to get down there with your son and play. The time really does go so fast.

I live in Riverton and also have a 3 year old son. We would LOVE to have a playdate!! A few friends in my neighborhood get together (usually) once a week and have coffee while all the kids play -kind of a win win situation- if you are interested in joining us that would be great or we could just plan an one on on playdate too. Email me and we can exchange phone numbers!

BTW: We are also a non-LDS, open-minded, environmentally friendly family, which is why I'm responding :)

I would love too, but I think the distance could be an issue :) Have you searched around for other play groups in your area? Or perhaps some classes like kinderdance or kindermusic? It could be good place to meet others.

I don't live in UT, but try MeetUp.com for mom's groups in your area. :)
