Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has made calendars online. I think I'll do them as Christmas presents. I was going to use Snapfish or Shutterfly, but then I saw that Costco has them, too. Now I am overwhelmed by choices! Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks!
S.

I have used Shuttefly forever, and absolutely love them! I also used Snapfish lately (not for a calendar, but for a collage and photo book). I would reocmmend either site. If they offer the same thing, look for a deal. Generally, they have a free shipping deal going on or a % off. Both are great sites though.

I've used Kodak for the past 3 years. It's so easy and they are beautiful. I tried the others and found them more difficult. Kodak does have good promotions every year too - around Thanksgiving time. You can always go to each of these sites and make a test calender and see which looks best. I did that the first time and liked Kodak best but it's fun to try them all out. Family loves them so much! Have fun.

Hi S.,

We give photo calendars to the grandparents every Christmas. We always order them from Staples. They are very simple, but they only cost $10.00, I think. Every year they all say the calendars are their favorite gifts.

I've used Shutterfly before to make calendars, photo books, greeting cards and for ordering pictures. I have never had a problem with them. The quality of the products is very good and doesn't usually take too long to ship. What I really like is that every so often they have specials for free things. I got a photo book for free and who knows how many free pictures over the years. I think right now they even have a deal on calendars - buy one get the next 1/2 off. I don't have any experience with Snapfish or Costco so I can't comment on those but I've been very happy with Shutterfly. Hope this helps!

I've used Shutterfly to make both calendars and little books (I made one for my granddaughter of pictures of her and her family and friends - she loved it!). I prefer Shutterfly to Snapfish - feel it is a bit easier, and I don't like the requirement that Snapfish has for viewers of pictures to have an account and login. I have never used Costco so can't comment.

It was a blast to make the calendars and everyone LOVED them.

I really like the products from Shutterfly although I think I used Kodak last year for the calendars. Do you have a MAC? If so, the photo center allows you to create a calendar from you pics already there and I believe it is ordered from Kodak. Although I do not think you can go wrong with Shutterfly..I have ordered a few books from there and they are great!

Hi S.:

I have been making them online at Costco for the past 6 years as Christmas presents and have been very happy w/ them. I have not used Shutterfly or Snapfish so I cannot compare the price and the quality. Everybody looks forward to getting the calendars.

Last year for the holidays I created a photo calander on Snapfish. It came out really beautiful. You can choose a different background for each month (they even had Halloween backgrounds which looked really cute with pics of the kids in their costumes). You can also customize each page with the number of photos you want to put on that month. Also, on the specific days you can put reminders of birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Good luck! I am sure whichever you choose your friends and families will love the thought you put into it!

My family has made online calendars several times. I have always been really impressed with the quality of the Kodak Gallery products although they do tend to be more expensive than other options. I have never used Costco. My mom made one using either Walgreen's or shutterfly. I was not as impressed with the final product. It didn't feel professional and the design was simplistic.

Good luck. We've always had fun with them. I think they are terrific gifts.

Last year I made ones through Walgreens...it's not that hard to do. It took me a little bit to get all of my pictures organized but after that it maybe took me an hour to do. Best of Luck!

I have used Shutterfly, Snapfish and Kodak Gallery to make calendars. In my opinion, the Kodak calendars are the best quality, and have the best options for borders, backgrounds, themes etc. If you sign up for their emails they send you offers and alert you of sales and special promotions. Good luck!

Hi S., Snapfish lets you put together a wonderful calendar. Besides the photo you can add to each month, you can also drop and drag photo's to each day of the month if you want (i.e. put a photo of grandma on the date of her birthday, etc.). Well worth it!!! My daughter loves looking at the calendar every day.

I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and we just came out with the greatest softwear for making your own calandars, scrapbook pages, photo books, cards and more (multi-media)! I just created a 72 page family year book. You can use Stampin' Up's designer templates or design your own. One of the mom's in my daughters pre-school class wanted to compare to a book she made at shutterfly, when I showed her my book she said that there was no comparison, our was in a different leauge!

You can view a short commercial for it on my blog http://stampwithnaomi.blogspot.com/2009/09/my-digital-stu... I also have a few samples that I made with it. Please let me know if you have any questions.
