I'm trying to help my nephew find his dad. What is the best way to go about it? We know the last city he lived in, DOB and full name.

Thanks.

Publicdata.com - there is a fee, but it contains public records information. I was able to find biological siblings this way.

Free ways to find out current city include using intelius and radarus to search by name and age. Then perhaps you can look at whitepages.com
if this doesn't work, you can pay US Search 39.99 for a guaranteed. there may a coupon online.

Basic : google / facebook / myspace / whitepages (online)

More : Intelius (pro version... worth paying for, it's not a lot and you can do a one month thing)

Pro : Hire a PI (licensed ones can run full credit reports/ history, and even though public records are online -I've run through public records before- they have access to software -expensive, and often restricted to law enforcement). A good PI can find someone snap easy who's not trying to hide, and can find people who are trying to hide but not that serious about it with a little more effort (like legally changing their name, or not using plastic or ID -id is not required in this country, it just makes certain things difficult). For people who are actually *serious* about trying to hide (have spent quite a bit on new name/ SSN/ etc -not legally-, or have gone off grid -like hunting/fishing out of a cabin in the woods or living off a sugarmomma/daddy), that takes a LOT of work -unless someone gets lucky-, and is often impossible. BUT as long as they changed their name legally or still use their old name and either pay taxes/ rent/ own, it just takes some legwork.

If you can get his social (from old school paperwork, old taxes, whatever... it makes things even easier).

I would go to sites about being adopted. They will probably have some good advice for you on this type of search.

spokeo.com - This site has entirely too much info on people, its scary, but if you're trying to find someone, you'll find them there.
