We moved here in August from Denton and still don't have a doctor for our kids. I have two boys--10 and 3 years and would prefer a male doctor because that is what they are used to and I think they will be more comfortable with a male as they grow up. We live in east Richardson but I would be open to anyone in Richardson or in Plano near the Richardson border. I would prefer a younger doctor--40s or early 50s rather than someone who will retire in a few years.
And if anyone knows a good pediatric dentist in the area that would be great too.
And just to make matters more complicated...we have no health or dental insurance right now because my husband was laid off 4 months ago. He did just recently get a new job but there are only 5 people who work at this business so no benefits. This is the first time ever in my life I haven't had insurance so it's a bit weird to me. We didn't qualify for CHiPs so we are just on our own right now.

We also see Dr. Porter. I live in Allen and drive 30 minutes to see him. Nice guy, probably in his early 50's. My youngest son had a short hospital stay after the holidays last year and Dr. Porter called me to check his status every night. He's very caring.
We use Reese Mathieu on Renner in East Richardson. He's about 50. Always ask for discount at doctors/dentists when you are paying and have no insurance.
My two girls go to Dr. John Porter he is off of flloyd and Arapaho. Absolutely love him, so much that I drive 40minutes take my girls to see him (we live in Frisco). ###-###-####
I'm not sure about the insurance part, but there is a group of pediatricians in Medical Cities you might try.
