hi!!!can any one suggest a good pediatrician?i'm new to texas.right now i'm in the border of plano and frisco,so i can drive either way for a good pediatrician.i did try Centennial Pediatrics,but the doctors over there are not taking newpt's unless they are new born.thank you.

I third Plano Pediatrics. We see Dr. McDonald, but have had to see Dr. Katz on occasion. They are all wonderful there!! Good luck!

I love my pediatrician, Dr. Scott Katz. He is located at 15th and Coit across from Plano Medical Center. His practice is called Plano Pediatrics.
Dr. David Samara at Pediatric Place (Coit & 15th Street in Plano) is excellent and his nurse, Shelley, is excellent as well! He has been my son's pediatrician since he was born (my son just turned 4 years old) and I highly recomment him. www.pediatricplacetexas.com

Try Legacy Pediatrics. They are a little West of Coit on Legacy. We've followed Dr. Merchant since she moved her office out of McKinney and we live in Prosper now. My kids LOVE going to the doctor, really. She and her staff are wonderful. She has an associate doctor, Dr. Mutyala, that we also like. She's been with Dr. Merchant for several years now. I know they must enjoy working there because the turnover is very, very low. The nurses all know my kids names, and Dr. Merchant always asks the kids specifically about their interests. She will take as much time as you need. The number is ###-###-####.

My daughter's pediatrician is Dr Jay Schwartz. I really like that he'll sit and talk with me about any questions that I have. He never just gives me a yes or no answer. He always explains why yes or why no. He and his nurses have always been wonderful with my daughter.

Centennial Pediatrics has excellent DR's. My kids have seen Dr. Newton since they were born in the hospital. He plays with the kids not just looks them over, he also has kids of his own. Their practice right now is on the border of Frisco.

Dr. Deborah Bain. She's the only one I would trust with my kiddos. She actually knows her stuff on nutrition and she supports your decisions on vaccinations, antibiotics, etc. Even her nurse practitioner rocks! www.healthykidspediatrics.com I'm sure you'll get many mom's saying the same thing.
I love mine - Dr. Seth Kaplan at TLC Pediatrics of Frisco - in the medical buildings next to Baylor Frisco - he is truly a wonderful doctor.

Hi! We just recently moved to the area as well and I have a 6 year old and a 9 month old. We are using Dr. Todd Burton at All About Children Pediatrics in McKinney. I am very pleased. i take my daughter to dr finkelman..he's part of pediatric associates of dallas. they also have a plano office on communications pkwy. i recommend finkelman, but any of the other drs are good too. i have a friend who goes to brown and another who goes to dreiling. ive seen both of them before and liked each. i also just took my daughter to see mclord yesterday shes new and not on the website yet but still very good.
im not the hugest fan of the front office people but the drs are top notch. finkelman caught some good things about my daughter when she was very young (hip dysplasia, torticolis) that were easily corrected quickly because she was so small.

Dr. Joe Peterman and Dr. Jen Wheeler are the best! We have brought our son to them since he was born (almost 8 years ago). They have always been caring, professional, and very thorough. They take the time to explain everything and additionally make your child understands. They have been there, night or day, when we have needed them. They have both Saturday office hours and additionally have a phone number you can call afterhours if you need them. We wouldn't take our son anywhere else. Try Pediatic Association of Dallas (or PAD). They're an association of pediatricians with a clinic in Dallas and one in Plano off the Dallas North Tollway and Windhaven. If you go to padnewsletter dot com, it should take you there. We see Dr Dunlap, who has a great bedside manner. Not sure if you're looking for a male or female doctor. Dr Dunlap is male (both our kids are boys).
